Just opened a brand new, sealed box, set of Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor dies. Looks good except the decap/sizer is for a 6.5 Grendel (and is labeled as such).

Almost seems fitting since I can't seem to find much in the way of brass, powder and bullets that play well together either.

Oh well, I'll continue to try and put Humpty Dumpty back together again in the AM.

I wont use Hornady dies anymore. I had a few issues with their dies when I first started loading, I have since switched to Redding and have been problem free.

I don't think anyone's immune like said previously. It's the manufacturers customer support that counts. I recently ordered a 308 die set from MidwayUSA. When it arrived the decapping pin was loose & wobbly. Called RCBS and they sent me a new die set regardless of my protest that it was just the decapping rod, not the die, not the expander or anything else.

Excessive customer support, but I guarantee that RCBS will have my business from now on.

God I hate to say this but its the girls that put this stuff together, they know not what they do.

Just got to laugh... The retailer I purchased these through has been very helpful, but... they sent me a second set of the goofed up, miss-matched Grendel/Creedmoor dies to replace the first. That was even after we discussed the need to check them before they left the warehouse. They graciously sent them via 2nd day air. Maybe third time's a charm?? They are supposedly opening the packages in the warehouse to confirm the contents. We'll see. There's going to be four times more spent on shipping than these dies are worth. Everybody has a bad day. Some days are just longer than others.

Shit happens. Call Hornady customer service. They will help you out.

Forgot to follow up on this...

After the second round goof up both the retailer and Hornady went above and beyond to make it right. Great customer service. Ended up with two sets of correct dies. :)

I had that happen with a set of Redding dies, I received 338 win mag dies in a 338 Lapua box. Called Redding and they sent out the 338 Lapua and told me to keep the 338 Win Mag dies... Sold the 338 Win Mag on Ebay for more than I paid for them... BONUS!
