Looking for some help/guidance on loading or getting someone to load ammo for my Savage 99C in 284 win.

All that's really out there is the 150 grain PP. Would the tipped bullets be long for this rifle or would a deeper seat avoid cycling problems?

Anyone ever work up a load for this rifle?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Nothing wrong with the PP. You can always trim the tips back for better OAL. Not a long range rifle anyway. 250 yards is about it unless you get an exceptional. PP's or trimmed tips...or just let them jump. Minute of deer is what you are looking for anyway. JMHO

I'm sure many deer have fallen to the PP. Just seeing what else might be out there.

Anyone know what the OAL of the factory Win 150 grain PP's?
