Folks,

I asked this question in the Reloading Depot and didn't get much feedback. I'm having a tough time fine tuning my .308 load using Win brass, CCI BR-2 primers, Varget, and the 155 Palma. Rifle is a Rem. LTR. OCW found my node right along with other 155 loads at 46.6 grains. The throat on the LTR is long and the bullet is having to jump at least .13".

Does anyone know if the Palma bullets like to be jammed or jump?

Anyone have any experience trying to find seating depth with these bullets?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Bill

I use them in my 300 wby mag, and I get 1in group at 300 yds, I know that the reloading data will not be the same but the seating depth is at book length which 3.56 OAL so I hope this helps a little.

I use them almost exclusively in my 40x w/11.25 twist barrel. OAL is 2.8. I shoot them out 1150. The brass seems to have no effect nor does OAL.

Same experience as above -- will never find lands so just used 2.820. 45-46 Varget always worked good.

I think 45.5 Varget is an old vanilla Palma shooter load.

Thanks for the responses. Gonna try different primers first.
