Big Horn action

I couldn't warm up to the Manners stock so I changed it out.

I just got it back from a bedding job in a Rocksolid stock.

Very nice, that rock solid stock wouldn't work too well if I were to use that rifle for 600BR next year. For a tac match it would work great. How does it shoot at longer ranges?

It does well out to 800 yards groups much better at 5-600 if the shooter does his part. I plan to do some work this weekend if the weather stays nice...

I"m having my second Big Horn rifle built by the same guy who built the first. I made a terrible mistake of cerakoting the action. Don't do it and if you must, leave the raceways/bolt alone. I believe for a non-inletting requirement you should go for the standard tang option and not the thicker one (on the tactical) if you want a flush finish. My second build is in a Rock Solid and the smith said the concentricity of the action was good enough to not require bedding. That's impressive. When I get round to having a third rifle built in LA (probably a 30-06 to go with the 6.5CR and .223) it will be on a Big Horn. I've had other rifles, including TacOps and I see no reason to go to another platform.
