Scored this McMillan used for $250. It was inletted for a 700 ADL single shot so I sent it to McMillan to be opened up to take a PTG M5 bottom metal. Came back today and the rear action screw hole is partially cut out and the piece just in front if the trigger is cut out. Is this ok? I trust McMillan and have the alum pillars that will be bedded in, but it is not like my other McMillan. Your thoughts and input please.

no problems. Ive often seen the bridge in the stock cut out right from McM. Just depends on what bottom metal inlet you get I suppose. You can use some clay to dam up the rear pillar gap so your bedding does not just run out.

I am holding a M40 McMillan that has the magazine bridge cut through- no problems. As a note, your stock is in an unredeemable state of disfunction, but I will give you your money back if you ship on your dime.
