Been reloading about a year and got my first stuck case today. This is how I got it out. I know there are kits and what not but for this you'll need a 1/4 28 tap, a 13/64 drill bit, 2 1/2" nuts, a 1/4-28 bolt.

I flipped my die upside down, drilled out the primer pocket, tapped it, put two bolts and a fender washer over the die, and cranked it out. Hopefully it can help someone out in the future.

Thats about the same stuff that the kits contain. Pretty good thinking on your part to come up with this! I bought a kit, years ago, because I did not think as well as you. Now go buy a die dox to keep it all together! Lightman

So you can avoid doing it again, the question now is, "Do you know exactly why that case got stuck in the first place?" (Hint: Failure to properly lube it.)

Actually yes ;) I was setting up my trimmer to a different length and was sizing/ checking different cases and forgot to lube it all together..

There's three kinds of reloaders in the world; Those who HAVE stuck cases, those who WILL stick cases, and those who will stick cases AGAIN. I think sticking a case like this is a good thing for a reloader, if only to teach you that it's not that big a deal, the die can be salvaged, and to pay attention to your lube.

Good solution here, without resorting to one of the commercial kits! Good on ya!
