POF 308 Tactical or Sig 716?

O'really? Guess you have never heard of Swiss Arms or SIG SG 550 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that has been around since the 70's................

Get the Sig. Atleast you know they will be around in 10 years when companies like POF/LWRC will be in bankrupcy after the idiots in the market realize how much of a waste of money they are.

If anything, based on the last 10 years, Sig handguns are where you need to worry about QC/Lemons. There is a reason for a long time (and some still) people will only buy/own/shoot west german sigs.

No, I'm not very familiar with it. And as for Sig handguns having QC issues, I haven't noted any issues based off of the experience with my own personal weapons. They have all been very accurate, never had any malfunctions, and the fit an finish of each one has been of good quality. The only Sig handgun I have ever owned that I didn't much care for was the p238. It just wasn't for me.

Everyone I know who has a Sig or has owned one at some point in time has never had any issues or anything bad to say about them. Maybe we're all just lucky? I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I haven't had any SIG products returned. Rifles or pistols. They make an excellent product. No one knows how to kill people like the Germans!

Clearly the California Fish and Game Dept is the end all be all when it comes to weapon testing. I'm sure they put on a very comphrensive and competitve test with all of the industry leaders....

Ask 100 people on this sight if they could shoot a Gap10, OBR, SR-25, SCAR17, JP-08, Or a POF and how many would choose POF and why? There is your awsner.

There are depts running around with XM16's, Mini 14's,ect. So I guess I should sell my Ar's and go buy some rugers, beacuse if a deptarment is running it, it must be the best right?

Lasty, Who do you think sees more weapons being shot/tested with the most round counts... people like Costa/Haley/Mcnarma/Vickers or some nutjob armorer / bean counter for CF&G?

This coming from the guy who believes that KAC is the be all end all to the AR platform, when rifles priced half of what the SR25 is every bit the rifle if not more so. Furthermore, how much of a shit do you think I give when it comes to what everyone else shoots?

The only rifles you mentioned that I have any interest in owning are the GAP-10 and the POF. Why? KAC is overpriced. OBR is owned by the douche canoe Mark Larue. I dislike everything about the SCAR. The JP is nice and hella accurate but I've never cared for how it looks and feels.

Pick up a copy of RECOIL magazine from July or August, if you can find one available somewhere, and read the extensive testing that was done over a period of five days with the SIG, SCAR, LWRC, POF and several others. There was over 10,000 rounds fired in different scenarios and environments. When it was all said and done it came down to POF and SCAR, the the latter being nixed by the former after feedback from the game rangers testing out the rifles provided. That was the point I was making in reference to CF&G. It passed reliability requirements as well as accuracy and weight requirements.

As far as I'm concerned, you can sell all of your ARs and use the money to purchase a big black dildo to play with because least of all, I'm not concerned about what you think.

No ,I a'm not .If in fact I was I would have been proud to say I was. I have shot my Dad's Hogan 308 a lot with match and surplus ammo and never been disappointed . I have been to the Hogan plant and seen for my self what a first class operation it is . Just because I like Hogan and live in Phoenix is no reason to think I a'm associated with Hogan. I went to their plant ,saw first hand what and how they work and met the upper management .All I can say is they looked like a first class company with a bright future. I also Like POF rifles ,but have no first hand knowledge of their plant , having never got the tour. I have friends who own both brands and the Hogan rifles seam to work 100% right out of the box more often .All in all I have nothing against POF ,and do not and have not said they are not good . I have also said , ( if you read my posts ) that POF is a good company that stands behind their product and will make repairs in a reasonable time frame . As to who was at fault in the POF Hogan law suite I can not say ,the court's have decided and if you want to know the verdict , it is a matter of public record that you can check out for yourself. I my self like My Sig 716p with the Geissele 3 gun trigger better then either the POF or the Hogan . I do have a F&D 308 on order and hope in about a year to have it ,and hope it is every thing they claim it to be . if you put me on the spot on who was the bad guy in the Hogan POF blow up I could not say 100% for sure. Perhaps they were both at fault .
Gonif

Are you any way associated with Hogan. If you are I would disclose it now.

As fas as AR15's go, KAC is the end all be all. Were not talking about SR-25's here, but anyone who hasn't been lobotomized would take one over a POF if given the choice.

Did you really just reference a GUN MAGAZINE as proof of a weapon's quality? You really have to be joking now, I am litterly laughing my ass off at my desk. A Gun Magazine, which is nothing but a multi-page advertisement, Catered to the lowest common denominator, is your basis? LOL

No need to get hostile over there sweetheart. If you can't handle simple debate and disccusion on the internet, then maybe you should go drink some hot tea, pop a vicodin, and have a little nappy poo.

And why does the dildo have to be black? You racist or something?

Wow ,when I woke up this morning I never even knew they made dildo's in different colors . I will just have to defer to the experts on this subject ,and hope you boys can play nice and stay on subject without getting personal.

The question is. Is buying a $3000 msrp rifle from a company that has notorious reliability and customer service problems worth gambling on? When the choice is between that and a company that is well established and known for quality products it's a no brainer. As for getting personal on an internet forum, that is in professional and you need to conduct yourself accordingly. If you are advocating a product that you believe is better you are not going to win the argument by using personal attacks.

Another vote for POF
1200 rounds, below 1moa avg.
Im sure there are lemons from EVERY MFG
MY P308 is the only semi auto .308 I've ever fired so I can't compare to other rifles.
I've always been led to believe that the shooter was the key to accuracy..
