So, my google-fu is failing me right now and I can't find an answer to this and since I'm in the middle of a move, I can't test this myself.

What's the Nightforce 2.5-10x32 like at 2.5x at 25 yards and 10 yards? I practice off hand in my apt at 10 yards, and my Vortex PST is usable at this range. I'm considering getting the NF, but considering I spend a lot time at these ranges, I'm trying to figure out whether or not this might be a suitable scope. It doesn't need to be perfect, but at least usable.

The NF 2.5-10 is very slow in-close (at least w/ me behind it). Offset an Aimpoint micro or get a 1-6/8 scope if you plan to use it w/ any speed at these distances. Don't get me wrong I very much like these optics but they are not handy inside 50yds.

That said, if it's just for dry fire you'll be fine. I use the screw on an outlet cover as my target on 2.5X at about 30' (prone w/ bipod).

Ya, primary usage at 10 yards is dry fire. 25 yards would be off hand practice at the range. But, I agree, even if it's in focus, a 2.5x scope is pretty slow.
