Been wanted this piece for a while but something else always comes up. Frankly, I am kicking myself for not buying it before. It shoots fantastic. It is a S&W Performance Center Stealth. 44 Mag, ported and smooth as glass trigger.

I've got the set of the much earlier PC, Lt Weight Hunters...similar, but shorter barrels and slightly lighter contour. ALL of them, as well as four others that buddies have...are tack drivers.
Not a thing to be changed or mod'd on any of them. The PC Shop does a nice job on ALL of their pistols.
Enjoy!

Damit I love that pistol been wanting one for about 3 years now. Are you going to hunt with it or just plink. Would like to here your thoughts after a good range workout with it.

Both, likely do steel plate challenge for giggles and hunt. Rang out 50 last Friday and another 50 last night. I plan on reloading for it so I should be able to pull the groups in real nice since I have been only shooting crap UMC SP.

First off, 50 rounds gets the thing just shy of glowing hot as expected. Trigger is exceptional. I have a CZ Custom Shadow and DW Valor that I both love the trigger on and I almost prefer the Stealth better. Recoil for a 44 is light IMO and muzzle rise is almost non existent for that round. The porting does a great job. Groups are exceptional or from a bag all touching at 25 meters but more importantly touching while shooting not from a bag.

I am with you, I am absolutely impressed with it.

Tried to post a shot of a few of mine...Photobucket is being a problem...Anyway. Try some cast bullets in your gun; I'd go .430", a 245-250 gr Keith SWC design. 8 to 9 grains of Unique for a mid range load. 20.0 of 2400 for 1300 fps and enough poop to drop anything appropriate for a pistol.

All of my 29's/629's like the Unique load and a Keith #429421 SWC. VERY accurate as well as pleasant to shoot.

For right now I am likely going to use W231 with jacketed just because I already have it. Later I'll likely get into some of the others like 2400 but for now I am broke between buying NF NXS and now this, plus my wife wants a new EMP.

Gosu,

PM or e mail me name and address and I will send you out a hundred or so Keith slugs and some load info.
BNH of 12 or so, .430" diameter. All you need for mid range loads, etc. Would work fine with your 231 too.

Wow! Very nice!! This is probably the first time I have ever said it, but that gun looks amazing with the rubber grips. I usually am a steel and wood guy, but the all blacked out look on that is really sweet.

thanks! I can't get over how accurate it is with UMC ammo. This is off a bag from 50 yards.
