im about to start hit market for 6cm reloading components im a big fan of redding type s..i know theyre not yet avail..how many of you using or tried 6.5cm type with right bushing for 6cm..does it works? or should i call whiden?
tnx

I'm with you bjay. I'm starting to gather all components for this caliber and would like Redding dies as well. I know hornady has a set available and from what a hear also I believe u can use the 6.5 with diff bushings, but need to look into this

Just ordered in stock Hornady FL & Seater from GAP. George has dies and brass in stock.
I will try my 6.5CM Redding S Type neck die for neck sizing only. It will only cost a bushing to find out.

I think i wouldve buy bushing for 6mm before buying set of hornady dies coz if it does works that wouldve save you 75bucks:)

Up to the neck the 6.5 and 6 Creed have the same body, if you can find 6.5 Creedmoor dies get them and use a 270 bushing, unless you're neck turning, which you might have to with a 273 neck in your chamber, then a 268 or 269 bushing will be in order.

I do agree neck litle tight.when i measured my loaded dummy with the hornady brass and 105 hybrids..its was 271.5-272 half of a thousand both side maybe not? Few of my custom rifle from diff smith when measuring fired brass its alway .001 more than what reamer were uses..rws recently just made me 7mm saum using 318 neck when measuring 5 random fired brass they were all 319.. it does make sense with reamer neck measured 318 spining it has to be freely after cuting so imguessing it creats half of thousan around (i hope im right lol).. or im just trying to convince myself that i dont have to neck turn..i hate neck turning lol

Benchrest guys usually use a tight neck like that, you might be good, though. My next build will have a 274 neck.

I'm super impressed with my 35 dollar Hornady 6.5 Creed dies, I added the micrometer top to the seating die for another 20 bucks, my sized brass is concentric, my loaded rounds are concentric, I just can't see spending the extra coin for Redding or Whidden
