I've got a couple 6mm blanks sitting here and I'm trying to decide on a new caliber. Both of these chamberings look very promising for what I want to do. I'm looking for input on each and how they would compare. What I like about the CM is that I can use the Lapua brass that I already have. Would the Crusader offer enough added performance to warrant switching? It seems to me that the CM offers a little better barrel life also.

Thanks,
Steve.

I recently had a TRG-22 rebarreled to 6mm SLR. 105gr Scenars cooking along at 3270 with no obvious signs of pressure. Dont really see the need to chamber in the Crusader. I'd say go 6CM or similar.

I'd say do a 6CM, better barrel life. I'm shooting a 6SLR also and it's plenty for my needs.

I suppose my needs/ wants are the same as everyone else's. 105's or 115's as flat as possible with 2500+ barrel life. Seems the CM would be a good balance between the SLR and the Crusader.

I don't have any reason to worry about speed limits, I don't compete. My Ackley is on it's last leg and am looking at other options for the next barrel and would like something with better barrel life. Looks like it's just a question of whether I want to switch to 6mm Remington brass from the .243 Lapua for a little more performance.

Thanks guys.
