Who sells these!? Also how do the optics and tracking repeat ability compair to nightforce NXS?

Is the MLR1 reticle to thin, it says it's .04 MOA!

I thought you might of had a few more replies , I have had both so I can comment . I used the 2.5-24 whilst abroad and it was excellent , the MTR-1 is a very nice and has usable holdovers / correction calls . I don't think you would notice any difference in the sub tension thickness between the MTR-1 and the NP-R1 . I have had no issues with tracking on the March although I have had other issues . My feelings are that the ATACR is a better scope and the 5.5-22 will hold its own . If you are concerned about fine reticle's the MOAR sub tensions are thicker and give you the same 1 MOA divisions . I must also say that you wouldn't be disappointed with the March if that's the direction you go .
Hope this helps .

If the Mods move this into the rifle scope forum the OP will get more replies.

The little March is quite unique. It is hard to imagine just how compact this optic is. For such a small package it performs well. I own some March FFP's as well as Schmidt, Premier, and USO. I run Schmidt 5-25's on most of my rifles. In terms of overall glass quality, I find that my March scopes have glass that equals any of my other scopes. However, resolution is slightly better in my March optics. Glass is very clear. I have owned several Nightforce NXS scopes and I do not think it is a fair comparison. In my opinion, March glass far exceeds the NF. Earlier this year I purchased a couple of ATACR's. I have since sold both. In my opinion,
again is March has better glass.

March has excellent turrets and have tracked dead on for me. The 3-24x42 has some limitations. The first being high mag with small 42mm objective which yields a small exit pupil. If you shoot primarily in daylight conditions then there is no issue. I understand the argument regarding the critical eye box, etc. I do not agree. After some use obtaining an adequate sight picture quickly will be no problem. The only real negative is the small exit pupil which will cause a darkened image earlier than a similarly powered scope with 50mm or 56mm obj. Despite the excellent glass in this little scope, the objective is too small for my needs. I went with the March FX FFP 5-40x56. I normally run them at 25x as I do not want to get too dependent on using 40x.

You will find many different and even paradoxical opinions regarding which is better, etc. I have no brand loyalty and try to be as objective as possible. I've owned and used almost every scope a available in search of the best optics for me. At the end of the day, just go with what you like best, not what others tell you to like.

Jtrax , I'm curious to know why you sold your two ATACR's , did you buy another after selling your first or did you buy two straight off without testing one first ?

March is set to release a 3-24x50 in 2014. That will be pure awesomeness. I've already got a 3-24x42 and I am definitely getting an illuminated 3-24x50.

Where has the info about the 3-24x50 come from? I enquired about this to be told there were no plans for it.

JTrax,

Do you own or have you tried the March 5-40-56 FFP scope with FML-1 reticle? That is my current top choice to add to complement my Steiner 3-15x50 MSR scope. I don't see myself doing anything that would cause abuse in the near future and like the compact size and light weight.

The info came from March themselves on Facebook when asked about a 3-24x42 with a bigger objective.

Yes, I have two March FX 5-40x56 with FML-1 ret. I have been impressed with these scopes. There should be no worries about the durability or whether the March can handle abuse.

I also run the 5-40 and love it. The 3-24 is great as well. Love its compact size. It with a 50-52 objective but same overall length will be amazing. Sold both my NSX scopes and only run March. NF glass hasn't come close. Haven't done a side by side of the beast so can't comment but love te entire package. Low profile turrets and high magnification that is clear.
