I'm looking to upgrade my Remington 700sps tactical out of the McMillan stock to the same stock as the xm2010 but can't find one, can anyone please help me thanks

Do a search for cadex chassis, you'll find plenty of threads.... sexy platform, super pricey but if you want the best cool, there are lots of great alternatives that are Dan nice as well... check out xlr

I know you stated what type of chassis you want but quiet honestly, save yourself the money and go with any of the other similar type chassis systems out there that are 1/2-3/4 the price less. Unless you're more concerned with looks than performance, there is nothing on the Cadex chassis that you cannot replicate on any of the other chassis out there. The one exception is the folding stock that folds to the right instead of the left and thats not a performance feature worth spending double the money of all other chassis's on the market IMO.
I would point you to the KRG Whiskey 3, the AI AX, AICS, Rock Solid just to name a few. The money you save on one of those could be spent on ammo or other items.

the cadex chassis is very nice. it is solid and very adjustable. your face sits higher off the ground than on a mcmillan, so it took me a little while to feel comfortable behind it. i planned on writing up a review to add to the data on the hide, but just haven't had the time. i love the adjustability. my guess is that it's slightly heavier than an AICS - i have an AICS with heavy M40 profile and the cadex with a medium palma profile and they weigh the same. it is not light, but it balances very nicely.
ok yea I figured 1300.00 tops but the cadex 2100.00 wow holy crap that's a lot of dough and I really like the looks of the cadex and xm2010 but I don't want to sacrifice performance for looks, I still want to reach out and touch my target without any issues
You could also take a look at the JAE-700. It's very nice but not sure if it's the style you're looking for.

I cannot recommend JAE to anyone, my buddy waited 5 years to get his stock from them and thats no exaggeration.He posted in the thread here about it and I believe he has the longest time waiting but the average seems to be around a year give or take. IMO, thats way too long to wait for a chassis/stock.
yea I don't want to wait that long for a stock but if I could get one cheaper like the xlr chassis price or used and cheap id do that too but thanks everyone really appreciate it
I would be pissed if I waited for 5 years as well. Actually, I probably wouldn't want to wait even a year, but I'm impatient. I didn't have to wait for mine, so assuming no wait time, I would highly recommend it as a well made adjustable chassis. I love mine.

I have no idea what the best chassis is, my guess would be the one You shoot the best, but as for the other parts-barrel, trigger, caliber, etc., I'd go the very good post, What the pros use. It's a lot harder for someone to post how the build the greatest rifles, of barrels etc. when none of the top 50+guys use their stuff!!! Maybe some of the top (serious competitors) are using gear they don't really like, and could do better with other stuff, but they have a sponsor (maybe....). I think they come to win, and would not strap on gear that makes them less competitive, but that is just my humble opinion.

i agree, the cadex is very expensive. i was leaning hard towards getting an AI-AX instead, but those, while cheaper than the cadex, aren't exactly cheap, either, as i wanted to get the optional continuous top rail. i was fortunate in getting a temporary side job and sold a safe queen and decided to get the cadex. if i didn't fall into that temp job, i could not have done it.
i've let others handle and shoot it - everyone likes it. it can go from fitting my wife and son to fitting a gorilla in seconds - not a real issue, typically, but i also shoot NRA high power and the ability to configure the stock for the position is very nice.
i like that i have the ability to work on and clean the trigger by undoing 5 screws to gain access. i do not have to pull the action to do it.
the trigger cavity is large enough to fit, i imagine, most aftermarket triggers. as a datapoint, jewells fit fine.
i like the right folding stock. i usually fold it when in the soft case to capture and protect the extended bolt handle. the folding mechanism is very stout with no play in it at all. it's also easier to operate than the AICS 2.0 folder.
it's over built, certainly, which adds to the weight. and if there is a complaint with the cadex, it's the weight. that said, it's not very much heavier than my AICS which wears the same glass.
so, i'm not trying to sway a decision or counter any of the fine things others have said in this thread. i just wanted to say i like my cadex.

well chiller ive had a few custom built guns and most of them ive run a McMillan and a manners stock but I just wanna make sure the chassis system wont fail me I guess, I would love to test a few different ones out but don't have the hook ups to do so but I really like the ergonomics of the xm2010 and the way it feels in the hands and when im behind it, had the pleasure of checking one out at a gun show but couldn't afford it unless I took out a 2nd mortgage and gave them my right leg and my first born child but since then ive been seriously thinking of getting a chassis system for my rifle and I just don't want any headaches so im doing some research on them but thought id ask you gents and ladies if you run them and whats the pros and cons
I have 2 Ashbury Precision Ordinance Saber Forsst Mod 1's and I will say the quality is outstanding BUT, dealing with the company absolutely sucks ASS. They are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with... The woman who takes the orders spends more time getting her hair done than doing her job and unless you can talk to her, nothing gets done.. and if you expect her to follow up with anything you will die of old age before you hear back from her. They would not know customer service if it hit them square in the face.
Did I mention their website sucks as bad as their customer service does? They spend all this money in advertising it but when you go to it, you cant order anything because 90% of their product is not listed.

Chassis are so subjective and personal, You need to get behind them to figure out what you like. Unless you are running PVS22's, lasers, or Thermals... What is the point of all the rails and shit everywhere. Its unnessisary weight and bulk.....and just makes you like like a poser.

Wow 5 years for the JAE 700 I got mine in less then a year and I love this thing it is a beast and is really comfortable.

I've been behind a few XLR chassis. They are nice and price reasonably. The only thing I didn't like was I felt like I was really reaching for the forearm in a seated position. Been behind an AI AX and its the cats ass. No complaints there. Built like a tank. A little on the heavy side but I'm used to a 3 lb stock.
The rock solid looks slick and easy to get behind. A few top shooters have been rolling with them. Also take a look at elisio.
Its hard to decide without being behind one. Good luck

I've run them all. If Im staying prone or shooting off a bench I would take the Ashbury chassis. If its practical shooting or competition I want Manners stock with mini chassis.
If you want a metal chassis that you can put thru hard use then go McCree. I don't care for any of the others that are out there besides those. They just don't fit me well.

Since everyone is throwing out different chassis' now, I suppose I'll go ahead and recommend the Rock Solid Stock. Here's a review I did on it, I think it's a great buy, especially for the money!

I tried to build a replica strike dual/xm2010 in 308. i paid almost $2500 for the Cadex stock. it shot ok but nothing special. I got way better accuracy and performance from my Mcmillan A5. if all you're interested in is the asthetics of the gun then ok but my opinion is to save the $.

do you have a prefference of 2nd focal plane or 1st focal plane? what will it be used for, hunting, target shooting?
My advice when people ask me about rifle builds and budgets is this.......spend the money on the optics. ypu can get away with just a strait Rem 700 sps that shoots pretty true right out of the box, but good optics make all the difference.
Yea I normally go all out on optics but this gun is for target shooting and coyote hunting and just seeing what's out there kinda liking the vortex viper but when u got a heinsoldt its impossible to go cheap
if you're going to be coyote hunting you want a lower front end magnification. it wouldn't be a good idea to start out with say...a Leupold 6.5x20 as you would need a larger field of view for shorter ranges. I just saw an ad on here for an SWFA 3x15 FFP for 600-$700. thats a pretty nice scope.
ive used my nightforce for coyote hunting before and worked great but thinking of a vortex still
I have the Cadex on my 700 police and love it. The only complaint as stated above is the weight. To me the right chassis is dependent on what u want to do. if this is a bench gun or is gonna be shot from prone position then heavy really doesnt matter. Now if u have to hike for 3 miles and not shooting from the most comfortable position then I would stay with something light. From what I have seen, most people that use chassis do get them for looks whether they want to admit it or not. I have other rifles that shoot just as good in stocks. The main difference I have seen in using a chassis is in 1000 yrd plus ranges. In my opinion, decide what ur overall plan of use for the rifle is gonna be then build off of that.
Manner T4F-A w/ Mini Chassis. Then you have the feel of a regular stock, and the folding capabilty as well as the chassis interface for the action.
I have owned a McCree chassis, AIAX chassis and am currently using a KRG Whiskey 3 until I find a chassis that I like more. Different people have different needs as far as equipment goes and while the Whiskey 3 may have the features I am looking for, it might not fullfill your needs.

My Mcree's Folder is kick ass, and for the cost of it you can still add all the goodies (Bipod, Extra Rails, Bad Ass Sling) and still be lower than almost every other Chasis System out there...
