So, made my own started with a fridge... (sorry for the pics)

Then it needed paint so I got some of that chalk board paint and rolled two layers on it...

next, after ordering all the parts I needed, I decided the standard tap handles were not gonna cut it. I got the idea while driving to use a grenade and a 50 BMG while driving to class one day. So after class I drove up to the local army surplus and picked some up, went home and drill/ tapped them.

finally the finished product. My buddy and I made some homebrew, and I just ordered a keg of Sam Adams Octoberfest...

Nice! Man that brings back some old college memories, nothing in the fridge but a keg and some lunch meat.

While I've always wanted one, I realize that nothing good can possibly happen to me having a tap available. Nice job though.

Figures you're from WA. Most of the US hops are grown right down the street from here. Got four rare strains in the back yard, should produce next year I hope. One should at least.

You got a hopback yet? If not, that's you're next goal for sure. Fill that with flowers and --man! That's some awesome stuff. My buddy has the whole brewing rig and a full size fridge converted to hold a few ponies (I think four fit?). But we haven't used the rig in a while, he's been too busy and it's a lot of work.

Fresh hops are the best. By fresh, I mean still wet, not dry. THAT is some great stuff. Sierra Nevada brews two --one using South American hops, the other using Northern. Both are great. Then there's another one, Ninkasi. They make an awesome fresh hop ale too.

Yeah, that's another thing that makes this state great. If you're ever in Seattle, drop by Uber. It's a very small place in my old neighborhood (I miss being able to walk there, don't miss the city) in Greenwood. They have some of the best beers on Earth, I mean they go out of their way to get rare kegs (they'll order and sell 'em too). Like Hitachino Nest Coffee Stout --nothing like being wired and drunk at the same time. Also local brews that are limited --this is where the brewers go to drink. It's the best pub outside Holland/Belgium, and that's a fact. Gotta get there early though, it fills up fast.

Thats Awesome!!, I Home brew, and have recently made my own Kegerator. probably one of the easier DIY projects. Granted I still have the basic Tap handles. Here is mine, before and after with a shot of the interior.
