Im looking at getting em ordered today or asap... I have a defiance machine deviant with the built in 20moa picatiney scope rail... then I have a Steiner 5-26x56 military...

This build is a 260 rem/260 tactical. All being sat in a manners T2A. I want to stay with american rifle company rings....

Is a 20 moa canted base enough to reach it out to 1300 to 1400 yards or do I need a 10 or 20 moa extra cant in scope bases? I dont remember how much range in mils I have in this scope either.... I want to zero at 100 yards..

How high of rings should I need? It had the pic rail built in thats raised some already... id like to run the one piece base and ring they make... but im scared it will put the scope too high...

What yall think?

I think you will be ok with the 20moa you currently have but you most likely will not have full use of all 26 mils you have built into that scope. Adding another 20 moa will get you the full 26 but I doubt you will need that much with the rifle you are using it on.

well I put on a 40mm high scope ring set I have and put a scope in it and it is too high... the lowest the one piece rings they make is 35mm and I think that will be too high too. So as it looks I only have the option of going with two separate scope rings... 28mm or 32mm high... I'm not sure how I can figure which would be best. makes me worry about the bell of the scope touching the barrel if I get too low..

Where two separate scopes rights put me back to only being able to do a 20 MOA cant thats built into the rail of the action... Unless there are some scope rings out there that have a moa cant built into em that are quality I'm stumped right now..
