Shooting Mats

Who makes the shooting mat with the piece of nylon strap sewn across it. The nylon strap is only sewn on one side and it allows your bipod feet to catch against the strap and helps you preload your bipod legs. I saw it somewhere and can't remember where and now can't find it again. I'd hate to buy another brand and then not have a way to preload my bipod and have the legs slide across the mat.

My Midway mat has the bipod loops your talking about happy with it

Have a Midway competition mat, great for range use, but really too heavy to lug a long ways. I used mine p-dog hunting, but that was only a few hundred yards from the truck.

I have a TAB mat, folds up into a nice little square to fit in a pack (yes is made to role up but find it takes up less room folded). I use it at classes or when space is an issue. I have a midway usa premium mat I think they sell for around 45 bucks, not bad but super bulky. Only time I use it is if I am going to be spending a lot of time in prone and have an empty back seat to transport it in. Reality is I use my TAB mat 98% of the time.

I really want to buy the Triad Tactical shooting mat, but would prefer if it had the fast tex buckles instead.

I like when the buckles on things are keep simple, quick & easy.

Champions Choice make an entire line of shooting mats (and has been supplying champion shooters for over 30 years), top quality, made in TN, USA.

I have a Creedmore and though the thing is a mattress. I hardly use it because the black rubber pad that I sewn on it gets hot as hell. I like the Tab as a replacement.

I use this one from US Tactical Supply. I love it because it stays on my pack. The only thing I did is I added a zipper so I can separate the mat, instead of having to remove the whole pouch if needed.

"Ex Umbris Venimus"

I have had my eye on this one also from US Tactical Supply for awhile, really like the idea of clear plastic pouch for drop chart and the bipod straps for loading. My local range is cement so kind of hard to load bipod. Does anyone know of any other brands that offer this type of strap or the sewn in ridge for bipod loading?

Edit.........Never mind just found one at Midway...CrossTac Precision LR Mat (Padded $150-$200) and the CrossTac Recon (LW no padding $75). I do like the sound of both of these depending on your weight restrictions or features desired. Kinda cool idea on the RECON, Multicam on one side and ATACS-AU on the other! Might be handy for Coyote Hunting during different times of year.

Made in the USA.

Available now: Triad Tactical, Inc.*::*Triad Tactical*::*Triad Padded Shooting Mat

I use the Triad mat and its great! Its very portable, has plenty of padding (I used it on gravel and concrete with no issues). Very well made as you would expect from Triad. I was gonna go with a cheaper one from midway but figured I go with something made in the USA that I wouldn't need to replace.

Edit: One guy mentioned the lack of fastex buckles but these are plenty fast. Its not like you will be using than more than twice in most shooting sessions. Plus you won't step on these and break them.

For international orders, we ship with either UPS or USPS Priority Mail International. UPS costs more but is much faster. The shopping cart will show you the exact cost during checkout.

cross tac has that support stiched in and has atacs on one side and the other side is multicam i think.

I just looked at the midway USA November flyer- shooting mats, shooting bags, drag bags etc. at very substantial discounts, well worth a look. I was surprised at how big the discounts were.

+1 on the Midway Pro Series shooting mat. I bought mine for a course this summer and was really impressed with it (more than I thought I would be). The only complaint I had was the OD green color really soaked up the heat (Wyoming summer - + 100 degrees...everything was hotter than hell). But everyone who tried it out was impressed. Best $50 I spent this summer.

Tab or Triad if its for field use. I have a Tac Pro or Tac Force (One of the 2) carry case type and it stays in back of my truck for last 5 years and still doing good. To heavy to take by itself. The Midway is good for places where you don't lug it around very far.

Good LUck!
