Gunsmithing Stupid Question (Maybe) on Muzzle Threads

Assume class 2A thread tolerances, the minor diameter of the 3/4-24 threads should be at least 0.6874". The major diameter of 5/8-24 threads of the same class should be no larger than 0.6238". You should be good to go.

Update:
I was in the general Atlanta area the other day and dropped in on Accurate Ordnance. I have found these guys to be top notch in quality and customer service in the past and this time was no different. Threads are now 5/8x24 and the suppressor mount screws on nicely. Thanks to everyone there!

this seems the apprpriate place to ask this question. i have recently purchased a TRG 42 .300 WM & have no idea what the threading is? i also wonder, should i buy a thread adapter for my can or have barrel threaded to 5/8" x24 (if that is an option)? let's say time frame is of no consequence. same amount of time to do either?

Thread the barrel.

i'm sorry, i have been on hiatus from hide. but, to answer, ended up with thread adapter. reason: emailed David Whiton of shark & he had my adapter in mail within couple days. i was gonna thread it, but that was too fast. 18 x1m is threading (i have learned).

to clarify he's prob sending you a different end cap for the suppressor since this is one of the great features of the shark cans. give an update when the part arrives if ya can

This is a question for Chad ( Long Rifles ) or any of you others that know. I want to put a Badger Ordnance muzzle brake on a #10 Krieger, I'm curious what thread would you use ? I like the thruster compensator cause of the look and the idea of side blast for shooting off a bipod on the ground. Any opinions on this or other brakes ?
