I can't decide if I want to keep my Comp M4 or trade it for a T-1... What do you guys thing? I kinda like the idea of having the smaller optic, plus it saves a tiny amount of weight.
This optic is going on top of a Noveske N4 (full build from Noveske). 14.5" barrel. I pretty much use it for nothing but plinking and the occasional 3 gun or practical rifle shoot.

Its got a Daniels Defense omega 9 drop in rail on it (which is for sale btw). It is getting a 13.5" Noveske NSR rail and a low pro gas block in the next month or 2.

What do you guys thing? Also a fair trade straight across or add a little $ or a nice mount for a trade for a T-1?

    Thanks for the replies gents!

T1. It's lighter, longer battery life and more "usable" on a variety of firearms. You can always throw it on an AK, shotgun, or even a pistol. It also gives the rifle a very clean and light look. Just my opinion.

Actually the M4 has a longer battery life, but at a 5 year battery life, whose counting. My vote is for a t-1, as the M4s i have makes the rifle too top heavy.

You are correct. I was thinking about the older Comp M's. Also one thing to consider is the warranty. Aimpoint has a 2 year "professional" use warranty and a 10 year "personal" use warranty. Eotech has 2 year warranty only. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I personally feel that if I'm spending my own money for my personal rifle the 10 year warranty is really nice to have. I have had great luck with Eotech as well but I've seen them fail. I'm of the opinion that Aimpoint puts out a more durable product.

Thanks for the replys guys. I think I shall do it.

What do you guys think of the trade? My used comp m4 (about a 1000 rounds with it mounted but in damn near new condision) for a NIB aimpoint t-1 4moa?

I'd be in for that trade. Agree on eotech. They are bigger, heavier and have crap battery life in comparison. Don't hear too often about an aimpoint failing either.

I have the Comp M4s on my BCM. It's a tough as nails, waterproof, over engineerd, end of the world/go to war optic. And I'll never need any of the aforementioned. Aimpoint T1 2MOA is what I'd get if I had it to do over again.

Right?? That's what I absolutely love about the Comp M4. I used it in the military as well and never had anything bad to say about it, hell there is a post in George's (GAP) new forend where (i believe this is correct but please correct me if I am wrong i just browsed through there), he had a purple heart with shrapnel in his hand, he said his Aimpoint was just hangin on by 550 cord but still working after being blown up.

They are an utterly awesome product but now that I am out of the military I don't anticipate putting optics through the kinda hell they went through while I was in but I do want something reliable, clean, clear, good solid reliable optic.

My trouble with Eotech was definitely battery life, screw carrying those batteries everywhere and then I've had a couple just break on me or not turn on after getting wet and taking a beating, plus not a fan of the reticle unless its on a mk18 or some sort of other ~10"-ish sbr in a cqb situation there's nothing good about it.

There's Aimpoint...and then there's everything else. I have a DD MK18 and will be putting the T1 on it when I can afford to. I'm keeping the Comp M4 though...just in case I need to dive to 80' under the sea in the zombie apocalypse. ;)
