I'd like to see what a rem varmint or med Palma contour(or something similar) barrel looks like in a stock inletted for a Heavy varmint(or m24, mtu- whatever you have) barrel. I am trying to get an idea how big the gap will be and if the different shapes will look odd. I'm looking at a used stock so I don't get a choice on inlet.

I'm looking at manners but any pictures will help. Thanks.

Really? Nobody has any pictures of this? It doesn't have to be exact combo I'm looking for. I just want to get an idea what it might look like.

Theres going to be a gap, look at a barrel contour page and figure out the difference. If it bothers you that much, tape up your barrel and bed the barrel channel and make the gap whatever you want.

Hope this helps..

Inlet is for a straight 1.25. The barrel is a number 5 kreiger if I remember right. I have done this many times and personally dont mind the looks.

I bought a McM A5 off their inventory/specials list that has a 'MTU' contour BC, then used a Bartlein with Rem varmint contour in it. The stock was done in molded-in forest camo, and I'd CeraKoted my bbl in FDE. The stock's bbl channel was white, so I'd expected to have to do something with it - paint it at the very least - to get decent appearance. Was pleasantly surprised after getting it together - have not felt the need to do anything with it. Kinda nice having the extra room around the bbl - lets it cool a little faster IMHO. I'll probably never do anything different with it - I've had it at a few matches, and the other shooters all felt as I do, that they'd not change anything.
