AO, Whiskey 3

Pretty.

How does the weight compare?
and what do you like better about the Whiskey 3 chassis?

The Whiskey is lighter than the 2.0. No doubt about that.

Getting comfortable behind the Whiskey is easy given the tool-less adjustments incorporated into the design of the chassis. The only gripe I have with it is the size of the cheekpiece. I am going to replace it with the Grippy Cheekpiece Kit as soon as it is in-stock again. Considering that no magazine is included with the chassis, especially with the folding version, it's a tad pricey. It's worth it, though.

Papagallos, what barrel length is that?

Just purchased a W3G4 a month back. Really like the chassis, but the rifle is not even close to finished. It's sad, lol.

Oh that is lovely. That ATACR looks like it's got a huge objective though. Anyway, we appreciate your business.

By the way the folder is 4.75lb while the AICS folder is about 6lb if I remember.

The new cheekpiece is coming and we think everyone will like it. If not there's always the Victor Co version which is nice too.

Justin,

Thanks for the great customer service. The Whiskey-3 is badass! :)

It's finished at 26", and it's a Heavy Varmint contour. I regret going with such a heavy barrel. The Whiskey-3 would no doubt look badass with a short barreled action.

Does the Whiskey chassis have a V-block as well? Like the AICS.
Will the new Stiller Spectre action (which is octagon shaped) be a good fit for it?
Thank you.

Very nice Papa. How do you like the Bat tactical?

The BAT Tactical is, as I've stated before, the best action that I have used thus far. It is phenomenal. And now that I have the barreled action in the Whiskey things have really come together very nicely for me. I have to give it to the guys at KRG. The Whiskey is badass.

Papa how long is your set up, when folded? No can of course.

damn, man, do you and ogonzales ever stop acquiring cool shit? ;)

I'd like to get behind one of those, see if it'd fit me well. Everyone around here seems to run Manners T4A's and McMillan A/3/5's, I have only seen one other chassis aside from mine.

I was asked if a Surgeon action works well with the Whiskey. It sure does. Maybe you'd have to relief the bolt clearance about one or two pubic hairs, but it's no big deal.

Cheers!!!!!

I currently have a McMillan HTG adjustable stock on a 6.5-06 that is very similar your rifle. I hate the fit of the McMillan, but the rifle is very accurate. I have absolutely no experience with V block bedding systems. How do they compare to a properly glass bedded fiberglass stock?

I really like my gen 2 Whiskey 3 chassis, only thing I don't like is it's fucking cold on the hands in the winter if you don't wear gloves. Obviously not a problem for you lol. Mine isn't a folder so removing the cheekpiece is easy since everything besides adjusting the comb front to back is adjustable without tools. A lot of thought went into this chassis and is one of the best out there.

I have very limited experience with any type of platform. However, I will say that AI rifles are stupid accurate. Chassis or not, if your rifle is chambered with Fairy Dust, it will shoot like a house on fire. :)

Had the chance to load a few rounds to test this Thanksgiving morning. From here, the seating depth is all I am going to experiment with. I'd like to add that the Whiskey-3 is seriously my top stock/chassis to date. :)

Lapua Brass
Lapua Scenar 136g
H4350, 42.3
Federal 210
TBAC 30P-1

I messed with the seating depth recently. I shot the following three shot group at 100 yards. I then proceeded to shoot a 12" plate that I set at 1K yards. It was my first time shooting past 600 yards. I was humbled to say the least. However, I was able to shoot a pretty good 3 shot group at distance.

100 Yards

1,000 Yards

Very nice choice. Am still deciding between the whiskey 3 and the XLR, really like the whiskey 3. Weight is only around 200g heavier then the XLR, no quad rail, hmmmm. Decisions, decisions.
