Good morning, I'm getting ready to set up a rifle just the way I want it and had a couple questions on the Manners stock. I recently aquired a GAP Rock, really like it, good balance, etc. I want to take either a FN PBR XP or W70 and have it essentially set up the same other than the stock. I will more than likely use the XP as I really like the old 2 lever trigger on it and i will go/stay with STEEL floorplate, which the XP already has.

So, I think the T is the closest to the McMillan used on the Rock, but would like the Terry Cross ajustable cheekpiece instead. Will have one front stud for Harris and two flush cups bottom, 2 left. Don't intend on using a stock pack, although can add if desired, just want a clean stock.

1. For those who have the T, any issues that you don't like?
2- If you have the TA, any interference with the cheekpiece concerning cheek placement?(to small/short)
3- Is the carbon fiber a worth while addition? Concern is balance, please look at intended specifications below(thought the TA might put more rear weight and balance?.
4- Unless I missed something, the T3 is not available with TC hardware?

FN/W70 action/steel floorplate
Same barrel as Rock, 22" #7 Bartlein 1n11.? (6 flutes) thread with cap
Manners TA? One front stud, flush cups bottom and left, of course pillars and bedding.
Near 20moa base/Nf3.5-15x50/either .885 or 1. rings

Straight forward, nothing fancy-in a sense, thoughts?

The T is very close to the McMillan HTG and the T is a good choice for a basic, straight forward rifle. The comb height on the Manners T is higher than the HTG on the Rock. That's one of the good things about the Manners over the McMillan. You might not need the adjustable cheek piece. Depends on your face structure and scope height.

If you wanted the T3 with the adjustable give Manners a call and see if they can do it. I don't see why they couldn't as the rear is very similar to the T. I like the wider forend on the T3 over the T or HTG slimmer forend. The rear grip area is still the same more conventional feel compared to more vertical pistol grips stocks which I don't care for.

Either way you won't be disappointed in a Manners stock. They are excellent.

I bought a T-A after owning A1-3, M-40, HS P....
I like the hs and the T-A best for my needs. The carbon makes it expensive. Money is better spent on the Adj. comb or texture modification. Latter is my only beef with the otherwise great stock.

Great information, thank you. I guess I will have to look into the texture modification and decide if I want the wider forend. I will go with a standard molded in camo option. Then look into the LOP, may go a tad longer.

The Terry Cross hardware appears to have the "lock washers" that maintain height, my guess they are standard features? No worries with the lock screw loosening?

I am just saying be sure if you need longer lop as it may not work as well as the standard 13.5" especially with clothing / layers on. Kinda like "measure twice, cut once".
