Who would you recommend to put my new build together?

I would recommend you complete the build yourself. Not only is it fun but it also educational. And it really as simple as legos.

well shit, if the upper is already assembled, you might as well get a couple punches and a hammer and do the rest yourself!

I agree with the others, simply get yourself the tools from Brownells and assemble it yourself. It really is easy to do and rewarding as well. But if you don't want to do that, you can probably search your local area for a gunsmith that can put it together. From my experience, the cost of gunsmith assembly of a lower rivals the cost of the tools. It only gets costly if you start into uppers and don't already have a foot-pound torque wrench, otherwise all you need is a few punches (roll pin and standard), small hammer, a receiver block and vise (done one without, not recommended but possible), receiver extension wrench and an assorted bit driver set. The Brownells instructional assembly videos are very helpful for those starting out. Patience is necessary with those pesky ass take down pins, and be careful when driving the trigger guard roll pin that you don't shear off the dog ears banging too hard when it's not aligned.

AR's can be addictive so this probably won't be the only lower you get, nor will it likely be the last time you will want to tinker with it.

+4 on yourself. The tools and how to required to assemble a lower are listed on multiple AR forums (google) and are not expensive. Assembling it yourself, you'll be able to repair it yourself. I built my first AR in the year I got out of the service using a manual I bought with the rifle kit (completed upper Bushmaster AR15A2 kit). Easy as pie and the M16A2 manual I used was inexpensive. Nowadays, the instructions are on several websites with pictures, do you don't even have to buy a manual. Can't be any cheaper or easier than that.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say get somebody knowledgable to do it. While it's not hard to do it can also be easily fucked up if you don't do it right. It's very easy to break a trigger guard or bolt catch ear off if you don't know what you're doing. If you're looking to find somebody to do it that tells me you doubt your ability, not that you can't and there's nothing wrong with that. I've fixed plenty of fuck ups by people who "watched the YouTube video" and were now an armorer.

If you can make friends with a local guy that has assembled a few dozen of them and pay him or give him a case of beer and ask if you can watch and possibly lend a hand. I do this for a lot of people and if you were local I'd have no problem inviting you over either.
