How far out are we from these being available? Who is making them?

Can't say for sure as they are still being tested and intial production will be limited to a few of the more popular sizes. Final product will be flat black hardcoat anodized and should be priced under $15 shipped conus. Hopefully within a few months.

19Scout77, I know it's only been a couple of weeks, but do you have any updates on availability? I need a replacement for a BC 19 eye that broke again.

I have had 3 sets brake within the last 5 months none were abused just bumped does anybody make some out of an alloy of some kind

Man I've broke a couple sets of these POS every year during deer season...I'm done with them. My last scope purchase is still naked as like others here, I just don't know what else to use. The scope coats and bikinis work but it's just nice to hve something that stays on the scope. Frustrating...

I got tired real fast of those piece of crap breaking all the time and I don't need anything I need to babysit to make sure they last. I tried a set of those bikini scope covers and after a year they are on all my scopes held in place with a black zip tie to the scop tube, never lost or broke one, isn't even a worry anymore and they are super cheap.
cheers.

Hey guys, not to resurrect a dead thread but I still haven't found any good flip up covers. Any updates on the aluminum ones mentioned earlier?

I just finished a new coat on my rifle and I would like to get some flip ups that aren't complete crap.

I've gone to inexpensive bikini covers. Absolutely no issues with those. Cheap, great protection. Nothing like finding another BC flip cap on the floor of your safe.

Hey guys,

I threw on some Butler Creek flipups for my Vortex PST for a course last week and both of them broke! The first was the eyepiece and when I went to adjust the magnification I bumped it and it just snapped off. Minimal force applied. The Objective piece just went flying off when I flicked it with my thumb when going down to range some targets. Nothing too strenuous. I contacted SWFA about a return but have yet to get a response. I will call them after work today.

Anyone else have this problem?

Just snapped off.

I live in Dallas and went down to SWFA and I asked them about this very thing. THey looked very unsuprised. I need another good brand for my Vortex razor HD.

Never had a problem with any of more than 8 sets.

I go pretty easy on my stuff. But it sounds like the breaks y'all are having are for very light use as well.

Hello, Butler Creek, I heard a song... "Take these caps n shove 'em!" I've got AADMOUNT caps now.

When I counted all of the $$ I have spent on Butler Creek garbage, swallowing the $100 pill wasn't too bad. The small square is an adhesive backed foam to soften the blow of the caps opening so well. I didn't know they were needed but it is of no consequence. The caps are well made and shipped quickly. Thanks Jon!
