A must have for the urban warrior

Maximum tactical use..... lined up for the win shot, you took three days to low crawl into position. It's 125 degrees out and sweat is in your eyes, a small fly wont leave you alone. Sighted, waiting, heart slowed, finger pad on the trigger.. hold breath, aim.....

Then the screen changes, to a picture of your nanna, she dropped an earing down the drain and needs you to help her get it out. Quick, up and run as the phone is playing some personalized rings tone from the 70's. ..... away into the backdrop......

lmao, I can picture some guy getting ready to take a shot and all of a sudden his wife's picture pops up on the screen when she calls to see how late he's going to be.

actually i wonder if this could be set up behind a pvs-14 or something for night kills on video. that would be cool!

Does this help......

Through testing I have personally put over 2000 rounds through my AR and over 100 rounds through my Savage .30-06 using my iPhone 5, which is my primary business phone, and have had zero issues with my phone using the mount shown in the video. During early testing and prototyping, an iPhone 4s and a Droid Razor where also used, again, with zero issues to the phones.

I use Ballistic AE on my iPhone and with this mount, my iPhone acts as an on board ballistic calculator when shooting long range. The app, along with others like it, is optimized when attached to your rifle because it uses an inclinometer to determine the angle of your muzzle which the app will account for when calculating the data.

This mount will be available, through my company at Black Mutt Designs, shortly after SHOT show 2014. Oh, and if you want to call it a gimmick, its at least an affordable one (under $30) but, while it has a "fun" factor to it, it does have a practical factor for long range shooters who use ballistic apps on their phones.

I hope this answers some of the questions floating around out there about the idea of mounting your phone to your rifle. We will be doing further testing on larger calibers here soon and I will continue to use my personal phone and will be happy to report our results and answer questions some of you might have.

God Bless and Semper Fi!

I wonder how this guy is making out at Shotshow

I have actually had a lot of interest and positive feed back plus some pre orders, particularly for the use in conjunction with a ballistic calculator app. Also, law enforcement and training groups that want another means/point of view for training purposes with out spending hundreds on go-pros and mounts, which they are doing.

God Bless and Semper Fi!
