Ballistic AE on sale $14.99

It's a great app but I already have the Ballistic (Non-AE) version. I'm tempted to get the AE version but in all honesty, I just use the trajectory chart on mine so it's hard to justify another $15 for almost the same app. I do like that it has the Litz BCs built in to the AE version but I think I'm just going to buy his book instead.

I'll think about it for a few days.

I asked that question and was told you cannot upgrade unfortunately. You were able to buy some in app stuff on Ballistic (not sure if it's still available) but it would not be same as the AE. The cost (if I remember correctly) for all three in app purchases was around $12. You're just better off getting the AE instead and getting the full functions of it.

I'm not surprised, nor do I blame him for it. Honestly, I'm not sure that I have a real need for the AE version at this time. I'll have to get a whole lot better before my skills catch up to, much less surpass, the point where I'll need to add more accurate information to the program. Plus, every time he fixes the AE version, he also fixes the regular version. They share the same core.

I think that I'm good for a while.

what are the differences again with this and the shooter app that costs $10??

just curious if worth it, as I already spent the 10...

thanks,
DT
My buddies have Shooter and we compared them. The output was essentially the same. However, as I never used Shooter personally, I don't know what features it has. If you got to this website (Ballistic: The Pro Ballistic Trajectory Computer for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad) you can get an idea of the features of the AE version.

I agree. It took me about a year to learn what everything meant in the app. Now it's easy, quick and accurate. I was able to use it at our local Sep match since I only hade DOPE for 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 meters only and needed some in between. I dialed it the data in Ballistic and managed to come in 3rd place. It's a great app and I recommend it to everyone. I even sit with my buddies and explain everything I can to them as best as I can (I'm no pro).
