I am having issue with my extreme spread, its some time as high as 63fps. I am shooting a Long range Rifles Inc 6.5 Creedmoore 27' 1:8 twist barrel. Hornady brass neck sized with a Hornady 6.5 neck sizing die, Hornady brass, 140gr Amax with 41.5 grains of H4350. I am using a Competition Electronics ProChrono Digital Chronograph to get my data. My groups at 200 yards are still 1/2 groups. I am wondering if my Chronograph is unreliable? Does any one have any advice? I would like to see more consistent numbers.

Got a buddy with a chrono? A side by side would rule out or confirm chrono issues. Could also be an issue with your powder throw. I'm not an expert but I know some barrels can also contribute to such issues, but 60 fps seems too high for that. Will let an expert on the matter weigh in.

My Creedmoor does the same, ES around 45. It still shoots good. Do not think it is my reloading technique or chrono because my other rifles have single digit spread. 24in. Brux, 140 Berger VLD, 42.5 H4350
