That's nuts! I can't imagine someone doing that where you live. Sorry to hear how slimy people can be.

I have the worst time with FedEx. They ALWAYS deliever my packages to my nieghbors. Even if I leave special instructions that I'm the last house on the street. It never fails. Worst thing they did was leave check for a HUGE amount of money (part of my fathers retirement package) on thier porch with no sig required. Thankfully I have really good nieghbors.

I had a large package that got delivered yesterday by FedEx but it wasn't to my house!

Luckily the company I bought from is going to send new if it isn't found.

Seems like it is always something with FedEx.

Sux man, once its delivered not much recourse.

If I am getting high dollar items shipped, I call or have them re-routed and held for pickup at the fedex or UPS station. Also do a quick check before you sign that there is not double tape or has been resealed, if you suspect anything open the package in front of the agent or rep. This sounds like a lot of work, but it removes any doubt that you just did not throw the item in your car and then claim the box was empty.

I had some electronics jacked this way, so it only took one burning to figure it out.

There's not much you can do after it has been delivered, are there any cameras in the area?

That is why I send signature required. Although I had a ups guy sign for me one time and I found my stuff right out front. I can't get a ups driver to give a care.

My company used Fed Ex to transport/deliver 60 high end PC's to a customer. When the driver showed up at the address there was no building. So what does he do? He drops the PC's off on the side of the street. That cost us a ton of money. We sued FedEx and lost. According to the court they had delivered the items as they had been hired to do. What happened afterwards was between the customer and us. BTW if you haven't guessed the customer was scamming us.

I always have stuff held at the FedEx office. That way you pick it up at yur leisure.

I had that happen last year. When I filed a police report they told me some neighborhood kids were following the UPS truck and taking things. They could catch them so they couldnt file charges.

my father in law is my ups driver gotta love small town usa. fed ex only comes to town twice a week has been same guy for a while he just puts my stuff in the garage for me. There was a car window broken last week though that made front page of the paper so people have been on edge here lately.

I was working in the front yard cutting the hedges and mowing the lawn waiting for my piston upper to arrive. Went on the phone and hit refresh to track the package and it updated with delivered left on front porch. I immediately called FedEx and told them I was in the fron yard at the moment the tracking service was updated and no truck was there. They gave me the run around, telling me to file a claim....blah, blah, blah. I told them HELL NO, either your driver delivered it to the wrong address or scanned it as delivered and went home with it. Called a PD friend and he informed me to get a supervisor to check GPS location at the time of the scan and to say I've filed a police report on stolen firearms parts. The upper was delivered by the supervisor the next day with apologies but no explaination. I think the driver got canned.

I always do sig required on everything I ship. I once got home to see 30K in scopes sitting @ my front door. That would have been bad if it came up missing

If they would cut off the hands and feet of theiving bastards in this country these assholes would think twice. Stopping crime is pretty simple in my point of view!

The trouble ther is that often, when a sig is required, they send it with a private contractor who operates on a different scheduled, thus I have to wait around all day for him to show up. If I have to go out and miss him its wait around all the next day. that's why I have it delivered to the FED EX store. Plus there is no question...either its there and I sign its not there.

Any and all boxes delivered to Thunder Alley are delivered to the back of the house, left on the table on the deck, or by the back door. USPS, UPS, FedEx, Airborne, DHL, and any entity that has something delivered here also places on the label the instructions to go through the gate and leave packages on the deck by the door, or on the table. Everyone does as asked with only one FedEx employee taking at first a lazy route, but when caught by a returning kid was asked,"Why are you leaving that on the porch when your instructions say to take it to the back?" BUSTED! As the boy opened the front door, she still took the item to the back as instructed by the label once she was caught trying not do so. And yes, when I caught wind of it, I called the office, gave a description of the employee and asked that my instructions be followed henceforth, without fail as I have good reason for making them.
Thank you to the individual who made the label for that company with those instructions on it.

Fed Ex has always been reliable in my neck of the woods. UPS is terrible on the other hand. They've delivered packages to the same house number on different streets and upload that street address into the tracking for me to hunt down, and when they do find my home I get 24 lbs of powder left on the front deck that required a signature.

I've had much better luck with UPS than Fedex. It really just depends on who your local driver is. When I moved recently I kinda wish I could have brought my UPS driver with me! He was great and would go out of his way to hide things if he had to leave them. If you sign up for UPS MyChoice (free) you get more options on changing delivery times/place/etc. Many times I will try to have the package held at the UPS office and pick it up on my way home from work.

What stops driver from signing for you or, saying the package was left Stuff under his seat and go? Kind of like the USPS. Oh, by the way, I went to USPS to mail priority letter tonight. Did you know stamps are 'labels'? Machine here spit stamps from label slot not stamp slot anymore. Postal Employee thought I was stupid not to know.

Thats what I hate about UPS. I get home at 530pm. If it is signature required, they come at 2. If no signature is required, I always beat him home as those packages aren't delivered until after 6pm. If there are any UPS guys in here, there probably is a resonable explanation.
