I have been looking for quite some time for the CCI#34 primers. I have been using Remington #9 1/2 for my semi autos because it was the only stuff I could find at the time. What are your thoughts on Tula 7.62 NATO primers? I want to have a primer that is wider that the 9 1/2 and hotter. I have started some load development with some ball powders and have read I could benefit from a NATO or mag primer. I would like to stock one large rifle primer that would work best in my AR's and SCAR 17. I had good luck with varget and the 9 1/2 but very poor results from CFE223.
Powder valley always seems to have Tula primers in stock. That kind of concerns me? Are they any good? Downsides?
