308 brass cleans better than 6.5 Grendel brass???

Actually, forget a). i am assuming you are using a vibratory tumbler? If you are using stainless media, then yes, your results are strange. But corn or walnut media only goes so far in cleaning cases. It gets them usable again, but not spotless. Anyway, if you are indeed using a vibratory tumbler, and your 308 is a bolt gun, then the answer is because gas gun brass is considerably dirtier than bolt gun brass. Given the same tumble time in a vibratory tumbler, your grendel brass will be quite dirtier. 308 brass out of an M1A is horrific; you almost want to scrap it. It is sticky and black. However, the same brass out of a bolt gun is not very dirty at all, except for the inside.

Thanks for the response.
Yes the Grendel is a gas gun and the 308 is a bolt.
Makes sense what you said. I will just have to leave the Grendel brass in longer. Using walnut shells
