Rifle Scopes Compact Scope for AR-15...with Long Range capabilities.....

I shortly will be looking for a new tactical scope, to be put on AR-15 platform.

Some things I am looking for :

- The shorter and lighter = the better !
- Objective diameter = 40-44 mm. (No big bells).
- Adjustable external turrets in MILs (1/10)
- Tactical reticle in MILs (No Mildot, if possible...)
- Illuminated reticle very much appreciated
- Side parallax adjustments
- Mid price range very welcome
- FFP preferred

Could you please advise on some riflescopes that would fill those marks...or most of them ?

I just ordered a USO 1.8-10 that fills that bill, except for the mid price part. mil based reticle, 37mm, .1mil clicks, illuminated, side parallax, FFP.

Leupold Mk6 3-18x44 w/TMR will give everything but illumination for under $1800.

For high value, PST 2.5-10x32.

For double that price, the excellent Nightforce 2.5-10x32 and 2.5-10x42 illum would be hard to beat.

Another that I wish got more mention is the Sightron SIII/S-Tac 1-7x24. It has gotten some stellar reviews so far.

13+ inches and a bit over 2lbs...what's compact about it?

The Mark 6 3-18 is interesting, but quite a few turret and parallax complaints as of late.

I have the March 3-24 FFP on my long range AR (24") and a March 1-10 for my 16" AR. March scopes are probably the best AR scopes since they are short and light which doesn't reduce the agility of the AR platform.

I had briefly mounted the Bushnell HDMR and took it off because it added too much weight.

you just described the vortex pst 2.5-10x32. though that new hs lr 2.5-10x32 has a nice looking reticle.
