Hey guys , I am building an upper in 6.5 creedmoor , but I'm stock in barrel choice ,
I really don't know in what direction go for best accuracy in this build ,any idea would be very helpful
    Thanks

I have a 20" noveske and have been very very impressed. I'm not sure if you can find one though. Might look into having a smith make you one out of a bartlein or any of the other good blanks.

    Hey Black Max ;
I have a DPMS type and noveske does not make that patter,
and even if it did, good luck to me finding one:)

I'll give you the summary of my research on here: yes. Many state that their full rifles are on par with GAP for accuracy, just about as good as having a smith turn a Bartlein or Krieger, if not as good. Put together properly with good parts you should get .5 MOA or under, definitely .75 or less. There's never an absolute guarantee you're going to get a 1 hole build with an AR but if you're doing it yourself a JP barrel is about as good as you're gonna get.

Man, that's great informations, I am really greatful for your help,
At this point I have only two choices :
1- get a JP barrel nice and ready to install ( they even come already headspaced with bolt )
2- get a blank and have a good gunsmith do the magic!
    The JP option seams faster

Do you like this better then a JP ? Accuracy wise that is!
I have a Krieger and it is very accurate, mark Gordon at shrt action customs had a few a while back and he put my upper together.
I have a heavy buffer and a jp adj gas block, my rifle runs line a dream.

People seem to like jp barrels, I see them at competitions a lot. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

You make a point right there; they are two well known manufactures,
The JP even comes with a nice enhanced bolt already head spaced and ready to drop in

I have the 22" Krieger that was linked to above from Fulton Armory. I have been very happy with it so far. With 5 shot groups, it is around .5 moa

I have one of those Krieger barrels also, I pulled a shot my first time out with it... The other four measured 0.305

Its shooting tighter than my trued bolt gun

Spoke to a jp guy over the phone and he said they were Wilson's but they took extra steps after they got them, ie cryo treating. Jp barrels will never out shoot a kreiger or a bartlein. Period

I believe some of them are button rifled as well, no? Krieger and Bartlein are cut rifled

    That's it!
I choose the 22" Krieger from Fulton armory,
Good think I made up my mind ,I think I got the last one they had in stock,
Cause after 5 minutes I ordered , I went back on the web site and it was gone!

DPMS makes some really good barrels. If you can get someone to cut you a Bartlein they seem to be the best there is. The JP rifles are awesome but don't seem to be quite as accurate as DPMS or Bartlein.

I have this barrel. It is a hammer. I've shot 8" 5 shot group at 1000yds with it. 3 of those were 2.75". I'm sure it could do better. I am the limiting factor.

    That's some good shooting bud;
    Are you shooting factory ammo?
If not can you post some loads?
I am glad I went this route with barrel choice

Thanks. That is the only group I shot at paper at that distance. I usually shoot steel. I normally can keep 3-4 out of 5 shots on 8" round plate.

    The load that day was

    140gr Berger hybrids
    42.0 gr H4350
    Hornady brass
    Fed 210m primer
    2.810"

The factory hornady ammo is excellent as well.

Bartlein and Krieger produce cut rifled barrels, they may also do button rifled but the Fulton barrel in 6.5cm is cut rifled

All bartlein and kriegers are cut rifled. The criterion that Fulton sells is a button rifled barrel. Criterion is owned by krieger and produces button rifled barrels.

The barrel he is speaking of is made from a krieger barrel not a criterion. It says so in the description and the price reflects.
