I stripped my upper and lower. Only thing i did not take apart was the upper/barrel/deltaring. Any problem spraying this while its together?

You'll be fine. Get some non chlorinated brake cleaner, and spray the everliving hell out of it. If you're wife isn't home, you can also put it in the oven at a low temperature to pull some of the oils out. That is of course, provided you have removed all the plastic bits.

I bought 6 cans of alumahyde. 5 would not spray. The sixth worked just long enough to do 3 .22 silencers. Please post if it works.

So I finished my alumahyde project. Everything came out fantastic. There is one thing I did not consider and that is the added thickness of my Threaded parts. Particularly the buffer tube. Any good ways to take down the the finish on the threads to allow easier reassembly?

Dang, you're making me wish I had done that before my recent build. Looks fantastic! I've heard acetone will take it off, so if you put some on a rag you should be able to strip the threads carefully. No personal experience though. If not, a fine abrasive cloth might do the trick if you can get it down inside the threads.

Fill a stock pot with hot water (not boiling hot, but "damn my hand" hot) and let the cans sit in there for a few minutes. It should spray just fine.

Alumahyde is notorious for fouling spray tips...BUY THE EXTRA BAG OF TIPS...once I figured this out every can runs like a charm...

DEGREASE with NON CHLORINATED CLEANER

WEAR GLOVES TO PREVENT YOUR HANDS/FINGERS FROM OILING THE PARTS

PLACE INTO A WARM OVEN FOR SEVERAL DAYS or this time of year wit 30 days for full cure...

Heating pad works great for all of this, wrap part in news paper or anything, then wrap up in heating pad will get hotter than hell.
