Lads,

Im looking to cerakote my Manners T5A w/ Mini chassis - im looking to apply a light tan to it, possible desert tan (barreled action is Coyote Brown)
as for the mini chassis i really couldnt give two stuffs if it stays the traditional hard anodize, do many people coat theirs? or should it stay clean?

I know you can cerakote what you like - and this many answer my own question. I ask, as to my memory i have never seen a Mini chassis cerakoted before.

Cheers.

Bill.

Best to just tape off the inside where the action lays. Cerakote can be thick depending on applicator and HVLP used and will squish under the torque.

+1 for taping the inside of the action...even thought its only a couple of microns thick bedding issues could arise. My 2 cents because I have done Quite a bit of Cerakoting lately...

Tape the block off. Most use air dry cerakote but I actually blasted mine with aluminum oxide and sprayed coyote tan with heat cure, then put in the oven at 130 for 2.5 hours. I was told not to but in all reality my rifle is in my truck in the summer time and it gets in the high 120's in there.
