I shoot at Lewistown which is 1K yards (1033 now) and I'd like to try for a little further, and idea where this could be done in the northeast, preferably PA?

Williamsport is only 1K right? Couldn't find that on it's website, I'mooking for 1500 or so in PA.

I know of a 1400yd range, complete with pits and steel. Unfortunately it's private and I only get there occasionaly

Mifflin County Sportsmans club just a little North West of Harrisburg. Normally you can get out about 1050-1100.

Look it up on the web membership is like $50.00 a year

At mifflin their Is a huge rock just under skyline on side of mountain that Is to be 1 mile?? Don't know don't have anything to range that far or glass to see hits?? Great range thou.

That was one nice thing about growing up in the rural parts of NE Pa was that pretty much everywhere could be a range. Haven't been in those parts for 20 years now and maybe it has changed. Sure was nice then!

Guys,

Welcome to Mifflin County Sportsmens Club. Lewistown, PA.

(Lewistown PA) is out to 1050 now. I believe that is the longest join-and-shoot club range in the ENTIRE STATE.

They could use your membership. Please consider joining. Very cool place, GREAT people up there, and recently renovated range and 50 BMG friendly.

I don't think there is anything at all in this state to put up against it. Join and shoot all you want. Treat the range with respect, follow the rules, clean up all your remnants, be respectful to other shooters and you will find a new home there.

Yep, Mifflin is where I shoot now. There's a rock at 1500 or so but it's surrounded by woods, so I don't feel comfortable shooting at it.

Might have to check out that place in Ohio if I want to shoot much past 1000.

Thank you; still going to look for something close because this would still be three hours for a round trip.
