Trying to decide Between a Z6 3-18 x 50 BT or a Premier Heritage 3-15. The Z6 is a little lighter but not much and thats one of the big factors I am looking at.

The gun will be used mostly for hunting but I will be punching some paper out to 700 yds.

I see the Premier on the hide all the time but I don't see many Swaro's. is there much difference in the glass between the two.

Just wanted to see if anyone has owned or have experience with both.

Depends if you want to be able to use the Parallax apparently... *runs*

I love Swaro, had a Z5 on my .220 Swift with BT turret. They dont have as much internal travel as the PH and reticle options are very limited.

But on a hunting rifle, Swaro is hard to go past. Some of the best glass out there, and they're super light, which is what you want on a hunting rifle.

Do you mean the Premier LT 3-15?? The Premier Heritage 3-15 is almost twice the weight of the Z6!! The LT is more similar to Z6

you are comparing 2 different beasts Z6 SFP 1/4moa , Premier FFP Mrad, although you can get some in MOA!!

Glass is comparable to splitting hairs they are as good as each other.

It comes down to features of the scope that suit you

Another scope to look at more to the Hunting side than tactical is Zeiss Victory 4-16x50 FL ASV!! small, compact amazing glass etc

I find the Premier easier to use as a Tactical/Hunting scope rather than the others which are more Hunting orientated.

Depending on what hunting you do low power close range, GenII XR may be too fine and hard to pick up but is excellent LR reticle

GenII Mildot is better for lower power close range
