I'm going to build me a new tactical rifle (rem 700) for dinging steel, a few matches, and just having fun. Want to put it in a chassis system.
It is between these "two" stocks only, AICS, 1.5, OR a Manners T4 with a mini chassis.

Of those of you that do have or has had in the past, is there any difference in accuracy, repeatability (in & out of stock) of there two?
Is the accuracy as good as the manufactures claim, compared to a bedded, say, A5 stock?

Thanks All

The Manners with the mini chassis would be my vote. The AICS is very heavy, and for me personally not very comfortable.
The customer service and products from Manners are at the top of the class.
There are plenty of rifles using both that are consistent sub half MOA.
Best of luck

I went with the AICS for the price and the fact that it was available at my local shop. I like both, and you'd be happy with either too.

Both are excellent, robust, and heavy. The choice really comes down to ergonomics.

I've had both. I currently have a T4A and T5A both for my Badger Actions. The only reason I'd go to an AICS for the 2.0 in order to fold the stock.

The Manners is definitely lighter but at the end of the day it's all about what FEELS best to you.

^This. At the end of the day, you need to get down behind both and see what you like most. Manners stocks have a much more traditional feel. I have them and will certainly get more. I have had an AICS, and now have two AIAXs. I much prefer the AIAX to the AICS, but once again, it's personal preference. The accuracy and repeatability between these two will be negligible, so go with what feels best.

I like the AIAX as well. I want a folder for one of my Badgers so I'm likely gonna sell the T5 and get either an AIAX or a KRG.

Manners offers a folder now as well. Folders « Manners Composite Stocks

Second paragraph sums it up best. All about feel when at that level of stocks. I personally don't like pistol grip/thumbhole stocks.

+1 on all of the above re: the "feel" and fitment of the stock to YOU!!

You owe it to yourself to find someone in your AO that has one (or both) of the options you are considering and get behind them to figure out which, if either, best suits you and how you'll be running the rifle in question.

In terms of accuracy, durability, repeatability, etc., etc. between the two options...its a non-issue. Both are of exceptionally high quality and will serve you well without any disparities between them with respect to those issues.

+1 for the Manners mini-chassis. Was infatuated with a 2.0 AICS stock until I got behind one. Didn't care for the weight, thumb hole or non-traditional feel. I now have a T4A chassis and will be getting another MCS (T6A this time).

Wait 2 weeks and I will give you a honest opinion on both! I Have a AICS now and just bought a Manners should be here in a week... I will be doing load work up in both systems..

The rifle is a Remington 700 TAC. in .308 trued action, squared bolt lugs, Shillen select match #8 22" long, IOR 6-24x56FFP for optic.

In the AICS she was able to keep .75 moa out to 800yd with the avg. 100 yd groups being .038 - .68

Im hoping to get a little better groups while going on a diet... Sounds kinda dumb with that #8 barrel but even with that on there she is still not front heavy.

If you like the AICS then why would you consider the T4 and not the T5?
If you get the Manners you may want to get the A model as in T5A.

Yes my .243 is as accurate as my old one which was bedded.

Okay, it's a long shot, as we all like what we like, but is there a more popular (or most sales)manners tactical mini chassis stock?

So...despite advice to go out and try out different stocks to see what fits YOU best, the original options or any others for that matter, you are just going to wing it and order "the most popular" one, huh?! ;)

I personally am a big fan of the T2A, but the T4A and MSC-TA are also damned nice stocks depending on what features/size/etc. best meet with your requirements. For that matter, the TF3 and TF4 (the folding counterparts, respectively, to the previous models mentioned) are the bee's knees! Of all the Manners stocks I see...I probably see more in the T4 and T5 lines than others, but again...its all about INDIVIDUAL preferences and not "what the masses" are buying/using. If you are going to "guess" about which you'll like most or hope that what the masses want will work best for you, then I'd say its likely a T4 or variation thereof (T4A, TF4, etc.)...best guess.

Nope, not winging it, do plan on trying some stocks out at the next match. Just gathering data, and throwing questions out when I think of them.
ORD, do appreciate your input on the stocks, every bit helps.
Thanks

The T2A and T4A's w/mini-chassis I had were hands down more functional that the AICS I had briefly years back. Accuracy unbedded was excellent.
But now I run Rock Solids...
