Anybody run the 260 Rem tactical chamber from PT&G's reamer? Any issues using Remington brass or even occasional factory ammo?

You'd want to get reamer print to verify but short answer is works great with Rem brass. Lapua brass might be issue but you'll need to see what the neck diameter is on print.

Neck is .298 . I think its more suited to Lapua brass is why I was wondering. I want a "versatile" chamber and was wondering if that or a spec reamer with freebore cut to my liking would be a better choice

Designed to be a no turn neck using lapua brass and feed from an aics mag with vld type bullets.

If I get time I can try to dig up and send you the print.

0.298 neck, and 0.088 or 0.098 freebore (PT&G offers both as Tac Match) is a good all around chamber for a 260. What bullet(s) are you planning on running?

The chamber is perfect for Lapua brass and 139 Scenars/Amax's/Bergers

Will it work with accubond bullets?

Work? Define work with accubond bullets? What action and mag system?
130 AB is pretty long bullet. Ideally, want to get bullet up & out of case will need a bit more freeborewill. The PT&G Tac Match reamer is geared more towards the typical bullets used for tactical matches. AB can be used with this chamber but will be deeper in case then I'd like.

Planning on 139 scenars, 140 Amaxs, or 142 SMK's. Or am open to suggestions also

PT&G Tac Match will work really well with those bullets.
Berger VLDs work well also if you are running AICS mags as you'll be out closer to 2.870" OAL with the VLDs.

I appreciate the input fellas. I will be using AICS mags. Would there be any issues using Rem brass and the larger .298 neck?

I run a couple different reamers depending on bullet and/or platform I'm building on. IMHO, 0.060" freebore is a bit too short if running AICS magazines and 140 A-max, 139 Scenar, 142 SMK or 140 VLDs. Depends on which # on print you are using to determine freebore also: # that defines from case mouth to end of straight cylinder or from end of 45 degree chamfer to end of straight cylinder. IMHO, the PT&G Tac Match chamber is about ideal for an all around chamber.

Zero issue with a 0.298" diameter neck and RP brass. I run 0.2975 but that extra 0.00025" of clearance per side isn't going to hurt you at all. Accuracy below 0.5 MOA and great brass life with RP is the norm.

Jon Beanland chambered mine with a .298 neck, and it runs Lapua, and Rem brass fine. PTG calls most of them a (Tac Match) reamer, from .40 to.98 freebore. I'm glad Jon didn't go the .98 freebore, as I can run my vld's in the lands and still shoot from a BDL mag. I'll always be chasing the lands anyway with the VLD's, but the 140 Hybrid is one heck of a pill at 2860fps, but my 139's are only getting to 2800, and that's tops, with H4831. But I'm in it for accuracy, and I shoot 48gr with the 140's and 45.7 with the 139's.

Well now Im a little confused. I emailed PT&G about this a few days ago and I just got a reply saying I need a .297 neck and .061 freebore if using an AICS/bdl mag. Im sure they know a bit more than I do but from what I gathered I needed more freebore and would still be OK with an AICS mag

I am running my OAL at 2.820 with 42.2 gr of H4350. I am still working up a load, but think I may either bump it up by .2 tenths, or seat at 2.800 and see how my groups are. I am jamming at 2.880 OAL, I don't have 6.5mm bushing to measure from my OGIVE yet. I don't know shit, I figured a shorter freebore would let me chase the lands a little bit????
