I'm going to buy this optic for my SSG P1. It doesn't have a name such as Kahles or Swarovski. Just want to make sure before I spend the cash. Any ideas or suggestions? I do want the correct scope for my rifle. The price is around $700 without the Steyr rings. I don't know what the going rate is for these optics. Here is a photo.

It looks right but mine does say Swarovski on it.

That appears to be a newer Kahles version, but it could be a knock off as the scope tube has several pieces to it, mine definitely doesn't look that way. From the picture 50/50 it's a knock off.

That finish doesn't look right to me. Neither do the markings.

Glad I came here. Guy seems to be very honest and said it came on his Steyr PII. The front has a honey comb filter. Maybe that is making the tube appear to be in many pieces. I looked online but can't find any info on fake ZFM scopes.

I'm not saying it's a fake, just that after looking at the pics I would have to see it in person.

I wonder if the contract scopes that came with the rifle was marked with Kahles or Swarovski.

Thought these came with a tactical reticle, these were made by Swarovski not Kahles, honestly I think $700 is a little strong.

I know the seller and shoot local matches here in SoCal with John. If his ad says it a Steyr SSG69 scope then it is. John is a stand up guy. For what it is worth I can vouch for him.

I -believe- the contract scope for Austria is a HENSHOLDT.

Found out a little more info. The seller purchased the Steyr and scope package from CDNN back in the 90s. I vaguely remember them selling the package deal back then. So I assume the CDNN Steyr/ Scope package came with these unmarked scopes.
If somebody has any info on the CDNN guns. Let me know.

My Steyr SSG69 came with a Swarovski ZFM scope it was 1990 when i got it, it does not look like that and it says the scope name on it.

Kahles is owned by Swarovski and they changed the scope to the Kahles shortly after. I believe that also says the scope name.

The font on that scope is not the same as mine either... I have the complete package, and the scope designation is the same, the look is completely wrong

It's fake.

Interesting. I purchased the Steyr PIIK and it came with a fixed 10x Hensoldt with Mil-Dots with te elevation knobs specifically calibrated from 100m to 500m or 600m, I forget which

Somewhere I have the paperwork for the optics, I believe.
