Well we are finally allowed to talk about new March scopes for 2014. I am including specs here. They are 3x24x52mm FFP and 2.5x25x52mm SFP, both scopes will have either Mil rad or MOA. They will be available to see at 2014 Shot Show. Ian will be at Precision Rifle Series finale this weekend in Florida and he will have the scopes there for you to take alook at. He also will be carrying our new KTS tactical stock as well.

Looking forward to seeing these next month. Hopefully, the Sands leaves those double doors open so it will be easier for folks to get behind these. By the way, I noticed in the spec sheet that the click value of the mil version will be 0.1. Any possibility that the D40V56FIML will migrate from 0.05 to 0.1 clicks with 2014 production?

Any chance of a picture or two posted here, or do I actually have to exercise some patience? I've got a 6.5 SAUM on the way and the 3-24x52 sounds like a great fit.
 
I noticed the 3-24x52 on Kelbly's website a week and a half ago, so I called to ask them about it. I was a little surprised that the man I talked to (may have been Jim) did not really have a whole lot of details or try to sell me one. I guess I know why now. He couldn't say. These March scopes are so much smaller and lighter than their competition, and how do they get 8x and 10x power range with no tunneling? Comparing the specs to everything else out there, they sure look hard to beat.

My team mate Tyler has been running a March F and we have all been impressed by its size, weight and magnification. The glass quality is excellent and it will focus down to 8 yards crystal clear! They are also considerably lighter and smaller than other rifles scopes. Down the road I would like to combine a March F, XLR extreme carbon chassis and 6.5 SAUM to make a great long range hunting rifle/match rifle.
 
I had the chance to talk to Ian and play with the 3-24x52 last weekend at the prs championship shoot. It looks great, still compact and light weight but better light gathering now. That's about the only negative thing I had on the 42mm I had. Glad to see them expanding the lineup! Thanks a lot guys for supporting our sport, for those of you that don't know it they donated two scopes the the prize table, that's several thousand dollars of support for the tactical rifle guys. They have a lot of places they can spend their advertising dollars because of all of the shooting sports they are involved in and it's great to see them supporting us. Thanks again guys!

Small world.

Ty "was" running a March F, which looks pretty good on my 22 these days, and will be on somebody else's rifle by April when the x52 comes out unless I get a FX, smile... but is going on my 6.5 SAUM here in a month or so.
 
I had been between the march and premier for my DTA. Only reason I proffered the premier was for the eye box. With this 52mm things may have changed. Thanks for screwing up my choice. I VERY well may be placing an order for one once available.

If the illuminated model is under 3 grand this scope will absolutely steal sales from the big boys (s&b, premier, etc)

I was able to check these scopes out this past weekend. Great glass and still a small package. I was not able to compare to the smaller objective version, but these left you with a good feeling.

Would also like to thank Ian and March for bringing top notch scopes to the prize table for the PRS.

Awesome news!! I am definitely looking forward to having a look at them at the SHOT. March keeps impressing me.
I was already of fan of March thanks to scopes such as 5-40x56 and 3-24x42. These ones however make my mouth water.

Lowlight had complained about the eyebox on the original 3-24. How is the eyebox on this one? It sure looks intriguing and its weight is awesome!

From the specs it looks a bit better. I think the 42mm obj was around 1.75mm and the new one is around 2.17mm if I remember correctly. So quite a significant difference. If the price is kept similar to their past model I will be buying one of these after they come out. Perfect for a DTA with the super easy to change 0 stop.

The eyebox is a bit more forgiving than the 42mm. The price is about $150 more than the 42mm model.

What suprizes me is they got that much adjustment out of 30mm tube. You don't find that even in a 34 of anyone else except the NF Beast.
 
I checked them out at the finale as well. All I'm gonna say is I will be having a few of these. Being able to talk to Ian there at the finale helped seal the deal for me. He was awesome to talk to and was glad I had the chance to meet him in person. Not to mention they donated two scopes to the prize table at the finale.

That would be a truly awesome price given the features. I took possession of my 3-24x44 FFP and the thing is the same size as my Trijicon Accupoint 3-9. However, the resolution on the March is astounding. I'm surprised I can see that clearly given the objective size.

If the 52mm has a better eyebox with that much elevation, I think I can find it a home on my DTA Covert. I hate the thought of some heavy 15" long scope weighing 3 lbs on what is supposed to be a "covert" rifle.

And now it will be on my rifle.....until I can get my hands on the 52mm version! But it'll be an improvement from the Leupold Mark 6 for the time being.

Good looking scope. Looking forward to seeing some reviews in a few months time, along with other new optics like the updated Vortex Razors which look interesting. Interested to see what the other major players have on the cards for 2014 as it really looks to be a case where the consumer is being spoiled for choice.
 
The world just got a little "brighter" for me. Thank you for sharing Jim. I bought the 3-24x42 from you a few months back and have been blown away at the optical quality. To my eyes it easily matched my Zeiss Diavari 4-16x50. The only area it really struggled with was low light gathering with the smaller objective, I'm going to absolutely love the new 52mm objective. You say April availability, well hopefully the IRS will be kind this year ;)

Based on my experience so far with the March, I think I might consider this more than the S&B 3-20x50, but I wish March had windage ticks similar to the P4F/MSR style reticles... decisions, decisions :)

The updated Razors really excited me as well... that is until I looked at how heavy they are! My gosh Vortex, did you make the tube out of depleted uranium! Anyway, the weight completely turns me off to Vortex at double the weight of the March.

Considering optical quality - zoom range - weight, I simply don't see another competitor to the March, maybe the S&B 3-20 I mentioned above but that's about it. Nice job March. I'm sure we'll be talking again this year Jim :)
 
To the guys that are running these scopes..

From the pics I see, the parallax adjustment appears to only need turned a small amount from 100yd to infinity.. How difficult, or sensitive is it to get the correction right?
 
I don't like that tight parallax adjustment. Are all March FFP scopes like that?

Dave, you are correct, that is one of my gripes, the parallax adjustment is very small between 100 to infinity. I understand that no manufacturer is perfect, but I like my scopes that give me 100 yard increments to give me an idea of how far, that being said, I would not "not" buy the scope because of that, in almost every other way it exudes all I could hope for in a FFP scope.

You're a lucky man Dave, if I was near Kelbly's I'd probably spend all day there :) Jim is one of those guys you could talk to for hours, like AJ Goddard (Bighorn actions) and Tom Manners, they treat every customer as a friend. It's rare to find that these days.
