Tikka bolt knobs?..

Tikka's entire bolt handle is remove able/replaceable. Here is a link to a video on how to do it.

Tikka T3 Bolt Handle and Bolt Shroud Swap - YouTube

KRG sells one version of the bolt handle for 96.00 I think.
Roedale precision from Germany has many color schemes and varieties of bolt handles to choose from.
And someone on tikka shooters forum has some he makes personally that I love the looks of I will try and find a link to it.

There are so many cool ones on here just wondering why no Tikka Love?? If I can't find someone to do what I'm looking for, ^^^^ that will be my route?!? Thanks guys.

I would assume why they wouldn't thread the handle and put a new bolt knob on would be because of the aftermarket handles available. I have no clue why they wouldn't flute the bolt, but I do know some have there tikka's fluted so someone has to do it. Maybe Boltfluter will chime is as to why or why not he does it or better yet, if he can and will do it.

I already asked?. Pretty sure it was a no?.. Just wondering if they are made out of something you don't want to mill? Or no one has a jig for them....

I can confirm that Boltfluter definitely flutes Tikka bolts and does an amazingly good job at it too. I'm also pretty sure that he does custom bolt knob work too.

And I would seem as though Boltfluter has fluted tikka bolts before.

308sniper beat me to it! That's actually my Tikka T3 done by Boltfluter! I still owe him pictures of my completed rifle once my stock comes in next week.

Ahhh sir that is a very nice rifle!!
I love the sniper grey and those flutes look great.

These are bolt body's!!!!! Not bolt handles! As per our conversation ( bolt flutter ) you don't do the Tikka bolt Knobs!!! Right..... This ones in that picture ^^^^^. On the Tikka's Are not yours......

I'm not sure what the gripe is... If YOU can swap out the bolt handle, why would you want to send it off to somebody else to have a custom bolt knob done? I can see having someone do the bolt fluting, that's an art form and boltfluter seems to have perfected it. I have a tikka myself and swapping the handle was about a 2 minute project... but maybe I'm misunderstanding your problem.

Cannon crossfire on here makes them here in AUS. He offers a few different titanium handles including the surgeon pineapple knob. IMHO they are a fuckload better than glades armory.

If I wasn't on the iPad I would include a photo.

Blackjack,

Where are my pictures! LOL

I guess I don't understand the OP problem either. The cost will be basically the same for the entire new bolt handle, and the bolt won't have to be gone for 1-2 weeks to have it worked on. But to each his own.

Andrew

It's not cost effective to 'thread' the existing Tikka bolt handle, the Tikka bolt handle has a hollow in it too, so that could become a problem when trying to thread it. No one has really asked the question because there are many aftermarket handles available now. They're an easy to replace item, and you're not limited in design by any means.
Here are the Sterk handles mentioned earlier in the thread - Titanium (Pineapple and grooved) and Stainless/Ally (swept ball) handles
