Thanks guys. Early I haven't really gotten to use it but knowing how it's going to be shot I can see it as a huge advantage when shooting off barricades or other obstacles. Much better than a round or picatinny rail forend. Will be much more stable which equals better shots.

That is awesome! There's something about those Seekins lowers/uppers I just love.

Anxiously awaiting a range report 
Well finally made it out to the range today. First had to get the Vortex sighted in and I shot a few quick strings at some 3 gun distances to test out the muzzle brake effectiveness. The brake is very effective at controlling recoil and fast double taps are easy.

Due to the shortage of .223 and as the rifle isn't going to be a "precision" rifle per se but used in 3 Gun, I only shot a couple 3 shot groups at 100 yards . The scope is sighted in at 50 yards so impact is a couple inches high. The first group is with Hornady 55grn Steel Match using a 6 O'clock hold as I wanted to make sure it made it on the 5" shoot-n-c. The second group is with Hornady 75grn Steel Match and I used a center hold as I knew it would be on the target after shooting the 55grn group. For only a 6x optic I am really happy with the rifle's performance. I am almost tempted to put my 5-25x on it and get some matchgrade ammo and see what kind of a group it will shoot LOL All in all I am very happy with the Seekins Precision SP3G.

I have no doubt that you could slap a 5-25x on her and get the groups with match ammo below the 1/2MOA range knowing the quality of Glen's work first-hand. On the brake...how was it in terms of the increased noise and blast? Haven't read or heard many first-hand reports on them yet, but I like the overall design at least in principle.
I am biting at the bit to get my barrel (should hopefully be within the next month...Lord willing) so that I can FINALLY get my SP3G build finished up after all these months of waiting and getting parts together. Mine is going to be a dedicated precision rig rather than 3-gun rig, but I think that the iRMT-3 setup with the 15" rail is ideally suited as the base for a precision AR.

DDD, yes it is their lightened BCG. Not sure when they started making them though. Maybe Glen will post if he sees this.
Thanks ORD. The brake isn't any worse than my POF brake or most any other .223 brake I have heard. I usually double up on ears when using rifles with brakes anyways especially now as I have a hearing test this month LOL

I actually was glad I had it as I didn't have a stud on the rail to attach my bipod so I just set it on a rug covered wood block at the range. Was pretty stable. I think you will be very happy with it.

Seeing this makes me want to get uppers for my seekins lowers that I have laying around. I was lucky enough to get them at regular price right at the beginning of the huge craze. The gun looks amazing.
My work in progress. Got the forend pained Hornady red by Michael at Controlled Chaos Arms but still waiting on the red Warne RAMP mount to come in. Having a little color in my rifles has really been growing on me over the past few years. Not just ARs but precision rifles as well. Just something different than the same old black or camo colors.
I have been contemplating painting/coating my SP3G 15" rail on my precision build so that the "collars and cuffs" match...your pic just sealed the deal for me!!!

Glen build me one and it is one of my favorite rifles.
I have to agree, my Seekins is one of my favorites also. I won the upper and rail from his "name my new gear" contest so naturally I had to buy one of Glen's lowers. Finished the build with a 16" Noveske N4 barrel with matched NP3 coated LMT bolt from MSTN, SMI nickel boron coated BCG from Hells Canyon Armory, 3lb Timney and an SS 1-6 from the group buy. I love this thing and Glen is awesome to deal with. The fit, finish and design is top notch. The captured pins and screws are great, not to mention the set screws for trigger slack and upper to lower fit slop (that doesn't exist if using his upper and lower)

Glen's work is absolutely as good as it gets in the AR world...PERIOD!
I have one of his complete builds, as well as a couple of ARs that I have put together using Seekins components (upper/lower, barrels and various other parts), and they are all top notch.
Now...John Paul is also at the top of his game in terms of work with the AR platform.
It really all comes down to what you specifically want/need, whether the JP rifles/carbines or the Seekins offerings best meet/exceed those requirements, your timeframe for needing the rifle (both Seekins and JP can have some lengthy wait times...again...depending on what your specific timeframe may be, one may work out better than the other), etc., etc. You really cannot go wrong with either company's work and I'm sure that you'll be pleased no matter which route you end up taking!

Never owned a JP rifle but have heard nothing but good things. Been extremely happy with my Seekins though. Did great for me last year at matches.
When you have a great rifle smith like George Gardner chiming in saying that Seekins are one of his favorite rifles then Glen is definitely doing something right.
