Finally able to sight in my first Mil/Mil scope tomorrow. I know its a little far fetched, but does anyone have a rough estimate chart of elevation adjustments for Mils? I saw one somewhere online but I can't seem to find it again. Just looking for a guide to help save on rounds while sighting in and doping out to 900 Yrds.

Thanks in advance!

Helps if people know the caliber and bullet you are using. ;)

Go to JBM Ballistics and put in your info and it will get you very close. Simple and you will learn how to get your data as opposed to being given it.

Anyway it would all depend on cartridge, bullet and how fast it is running. No one set chart.

Tell us which ammo you are using, if it is factory there should be a dope chart online. Should be close enough to get you on paper under 700Y

Use JBM as linked in post two. Play around with inputting different temperatures and elevations near where you shoot and observe the difference it makes.

Thanks for the info! For those asking, I'll be using Hornady TAP 168's. I believe they run just over 2600fps. I'll check out the JBM ballistics program. Thanks again!

JBM was able to get me on paper at 600 yards, with two rifles, using my best guesses of what my unchronoed reloads were doing. Good stuff.

Hornady TAP 168gr Amax will be closer to 2700/2750 if out of a 24" tube. just fyi

Wanted to say thanks for tuning me into the ballistics program. It worked nearly perfect out to 700 Yrds today!

Glad to have helped. JBM does work great when you put the right numbers in. I only have 400 yards at my home range but need to shoot to 1000+ at matches. JBM has gotten me there with multiple calibers and I have never been off more than .2 mills at 1000.

If you have an Apple product, look at the Ballistic's AE app for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. It is powered from the JBM ballistcs computer, "The world renowned JBM Ballistics computer is powering all of Ballistic's computations." I have only had the app a few weeks and so far so good and is easy to use. I'm on the app every day messing with it and learning. I bought the app because it was recommended by other Sniper's Hide members.

There is also a few video tutorials on the website to help you learn the software.
