rem 700 varmint 1-12 twist ammo ??

Just bought a brand new rem 700 in 223 it has a 26 inch bull barrel with the
1-12 twist...I bought 3 boxes of the hornady superformance 55 gr gmx HP
Has anybody tried these yet in a 1-12 twist......and I also wanna change the stock
But could not find any place who offered a adl varmint count or stock any suggestions
Where to look my gun has the blind mag....I plan on changing that later on

I have one of those too. I put it in B&C stock and have a Leupold ultra 10x on it. After testing 52 gr SMKs, Berger HPBTs and Berge target FBs, mine like the FBs best. I have it down to 3/4" 5 shot groups at 100 and shoot it regularly at 300. And have shot 2 1/2" 10 shot groups there. I am going next weekend to do the Tubbs final finish system on the barrel. So we will see if that tightens anything up.

If you reload 155 SMK CCI 200 primer 43.1gr. Varget at 2.084 OAL Shot 3/8 groups at 100 yards

How do you get 43 grains of varget into a .223 case?

Same way you get a 155 grain bullet in.

That's gonna be a 308 load

Hard to say, some rifles may like it, some may not. I have the same rifle and dropped it in a McMillan HTG. I load for it, and have found it shoots 52gr Hornady bullets very well with most powders. Reloader 15 has given me the best performance so far.
