I have the funds to scope a rifle(that is not necessary right now) or buy a set of meostar 8x42 binos. I have many firearms ready to go, but admitantly, no binos. So should i get binos now, and scope later.....or the other way around?

I'm a long time reader and first time poster from Ireland. Couldn't let this one go get the binos as the old saying goes if you can't see it you can't shoot it. You'll always find the funds for a scope down the line

Well some people don't like to be looked at through a scope, an I'm one of them people if I'm out hunting an see someone looking at me with there rifle I make it a point to let them know it. Bios do have a use.

Get binos, you'll see more stuff and use much more than rifle scope. Once you have a good set of binos you'll understand why guys will leave guns behind but not binos. Get binos.

I have 2 rifles sitting in the safe with mounts, but no optic. I take a monocular, rangefinder and a set of binos everytime I am hunting. Rangefiner and binos to every match. I even have a set of binos in each car too. Get the binoculars.

Should have bought a Steiner and got the free bino's :) I mailed my stuff in on the absolute last day of 2013 that the mail ran and had the bino's (Steiner 10x42r tactical ) within 5 days. I have always paid for nice scopes but never dropped more than 200 on any bino's and while the steiner's are not the same as 3k bino's they are still a great set and perfect for what I need them for.
