I found a great way to get that scope I was looking for without draining the bank account. They have 12 month interest free financing on items over 599. at Amazon.com if you open a amazon card. Not only that but optics planet has free shipping and 30 day returns, they also have euro optics and a few other venders on there. At least for the F1 they did. I think they said it last to March. Never thought I would get my scope this fast, a big thumbs up to amazon!

I wouldn't make a habit of it but it's a fine deal as long as you pay it off. If you don't pay it off in time they will charge you interest accumulated from the purchase date and not just the end of interest free period so you will end up paying quite a bit extra.

From a financial prospective interest free money is the cats meow...why use your own precious cash when u can use someone else's. If the scope is gonna get added to your collection anyway that is a heck of a deal. Main thing is payments be made on time

Sucks the SHV is on the shelves in the march time frame. Like night eagle said. Spend someone else's money just make sure to pay it off inside a year.

On a big ticket item that may be true but with CD/savings interest so low, its not going to save you any coin by financing a scope.

easy credit = bad drug

though I will say I'm pretty good with paying off my cards instantly this might allow me the opportunity to get some nice glass that's normally unreachable. You can get up to 18mos no fee/interest CC's now also, that's 6 months more to make bad decisions

If you want to use your own coin to buy a scope use it...but if you are gonna buy a scope anyway and they offer you interest free financing and you have the funds to do it, using someone else's money is just smart business. Keeping cash reserves high is smart business. This is business 101. It's a strange world out there, something might happen where you need that cash ASAP and if you spent it on that scope now it ain't there.
