I know everyone says Lucas bore guides, but if you had to go with another what would you suggest.

Bore Guide
Carbon Cleaning Rod
Chamber Cleaning Kit

Also if other sites you could help with besides Sin, Brownells, Midwayusa for these items? I am not looking to go cheap on these tools, I want them to be the best and last, just having a hard time finding what everyone considers the best for their gun.

Mine is Remi 308 in AICS 1.5

Thank you,
David

Champion's Shooter's Supply is a good place to get topnotch supplies from.
You are on the right track. However, I prefer a Stainless rod as they are harder and wont pick up crud in their surface like a softer material can. Once piece only.
I also prefer rods that use universal threaded brushes etc. For cleaning the chamber you may want to get a pistol length rod, just easier to manipulate.

You want to use a patch jag versus a loop as you only want to run your patch one way versus dragging it back through the bore. Push it out and dispose.
My preference for bore cleaners is Sweet's 7.62 solvent but there are others that work well.
If you have a carbon steel barrel I would only use a bronze brush.
YMMV

This arrived today. Mil-Comm TW-25 Cleaner/Degreaser, TW-25B Grease, and TW-2500 lubricant are due for delivery Monday. A Tipton Rod Guide, and a Gunslick AR Rod Guide have been integral parts of my rifle cleaning equipment suite for some time now. After some research, and discovering that my sole remaining stainless cleaning rod had a kink in it, I opted for the carbon fiber rod.

I buy nearly all my shooting accessories from Amazon now, good prices, good policies, good shipping, and an extremely convenient way to shop. I have placed over 95 orders with them in the past year.

Personally, I'm just using a cheap universal bore guide, a carbon fiber one-piece rod, a jag, a nylon brush and a phosphorus/bronze brush. Also, I'm not of the philosophy that "the sun never sets on a dirty gun". I was certainly raised that way, but have since discovered that cleaning far less often has improved my long range game. I now clean the bore about every 150-250 rounds (haven't settled on a number just yet, but I'm trying to decide where the best cleaning interval is for my gun).

I am cleaning a bit more often with my new AI at the moment. I've never really bought into the idea of a barrel break-in procedure, but Accuracy International lists one in their manual, and I figured I'd follow their recommendations on this new (and very expensive) gun.

Thanks for the info.

I ended up calling Benchrite LLC and bought the Lucas Rod Guide, Benchrite Chamber swab, Dewey Rod, nylon brushes, mops, jags, benchrite stock boot, and he said he could have it all shipped out today. This is first time I have seen this company but everything was straight forward and the prices seemed to me pretty good.

As some listed I was going the tipton way for mostly everything, but when I added up all the prices figured I would just go up one, and I didn't realize someone could have the Lucas guide rods in stock I have been trying to email for days, but I think my email domain might go to some spam mail box.

The bore guide prevents carbon/unburnt powder etc from entering into the action when using cleaning solutions.

Not only that but a proper guide like the Lucas, Barrel Saver, and I think now Sinclair also offers a piloted guide will properly center the rod in the bore. If you use a guide with out a pilot insert fitted for your rod OD then the bore guide is just a solvent / crud blocker.

If you want the best guide hands down here you go:
