So I am looking for a release agent in aerosol form that isn't that Acra-relaese stuff. I want it to be cheaper than that, work just as well and able to be cleaned off easily with brake cleaner. I know this may have been disscussed but I just looked and couldn't find exactly what I needed. I saw some people used One Shot case lube, would that fit the bill? I appreciate any help!

Ben

McLube mold release agent. I sell it. Best stuff you can buy. I've tried them all. This works and the presentation is awesome.

You can buy it too, but only by the case or gallon jug.

A case has lasted me 10+ years so pace yourself! lol.

Chad I tried last year to get in contact with you to see if you had McLube and was unable to. I would like to buy a can from you, What is the best way to get it from you?

Mr. Dixon if you don't mind my asking what do you charge for a single can of it? If it is what you use then I know it must be good stuff! The pictures of your rifle bedding are some serious works of art. I appreciate it!

Two cases on order and should be here by week's end.

$21.99/can + shipping.

It's a touch more than Acra Release from "The Big "B" " but its worth it germs. It's good chit!

Order away!

A very similar product and an option to McLube 1725L mold release is McLube SailKote which is available in less than case quantities from many vendors including Amazon.

Brownells website said their stuff was $31 if I remember correctly. I may be getting in touch with you soon about this! Is calling the best way to get a hold of you or email? I also have a few questions about a CZ 455 barrel.

Have you used it with Marine-Tex as a release agent before? How'd it work?

Ben

I have used it with Devcon. I'm not the first to discover the SailKote. McLube will tell you SailKote is very similar to 1725L but not identical. In the past I have also used LPS Dry Film PTFE lubricant with both Marine Tex and Devcon with good results. LPS had an older offering using Dupont Krytox (it's a PTFE) and it was fine too.

Ben, just give him a call. I did this morning and he picked right up. He had to order more of the product in, should be here by the end of the week. Then he will send it out.

Slide Mold Shield works really well also. the finish is good enough you can see the machine marks on the bottom of the single shot stiller actions in the bedding. slide.png
