I just purchased a Bushnell 1-6.5 scope, I love the reticle, coming from a Primary Arms 1-6 its a great upgrade in eyebox and lighting. However, the hash marks and BDC doesnt make sense to me. The "2" meaning 200 yards (correct me if I'm wrong) has a really high hold over and go's way over the target. So does the 4. I zeroed it in at 100 yards and its about half an inch away from bullseye.

Comparing the reticle to the primary arms "acss" reticle I had no problems with its small hold over and it shot great at every mark.

Does anybody have this scope/reticle that can provide input or a manual/guide? I lost my instructions for it and the one online is terrible. Bushnell has really bad documentation. I'm assuming that this scope is only for .223/5.56 however they don't point this out on there website, again they really need to update their website!

PS - I've gotten GREAT results (w/ rifle and scope), just pulled off a less than inch grouping at 100" 3 shots! The shot was as great as my friends Remington 700 XLR he was amazed

Thanks in advanced!

Like FNG said, sounds like the 2 and the 4 you are referring to would be mil marks. With my 18" 308 with Bushnell 3.5-21 with G2 reticle the point of bullet impact at my 2 mil mark is roughly 350 yards and the 4 mil mark is 515 yards. Those numbers are from information gathered at the range with a chronograph and then tested and trued at various distances out to 700 yards. Everyone's velocity will vary from gun to gun.

Edited to add:

Your turret adjustments might be in mils also. If they are then each click is .1 mils. One click at 100 yards is .36"

redirt78, do you use hold overs for quick target acquisition or range it it in with turrets? I was hoping it'd be faster with a 1-6 on an AR platform

I have the same scope, Mine is MIL MIL,

Adjustments are in .1 Mil

The reticle is also a MIL based reticle. Those numbers are Mils down from your actual zero.

I actually shoot mine today, made hits on targets out to 400 and 500 yards. I was holding over the entire time with the reticle.
