What primer is everyone using for this cartridge? I just ordered a barrel in this chambering, I'm trying to get an idea what to look for as far as components.

CCI450's or the BR4's both have thicker cups than normal so most guys prefer them. CCI400's have thinner cups.

cci 400 are about the worst for this use, good primers but only for reasonable pressure loads

Wolf Small Rifle Magnum, these are called magnum but they have the same amount of compound as the regular primers but a thicker cup. The thicker cup is important for the 47 as it tends to be hard on primers, a lot of people need their pins bushed due to excessive primer flow.

I use 205 M's, and have for 4 years, some stout loads also. Primer may pooch up some, with this brass, your first pressure sign seems to be pierced primers.

The cci 450's had better chronograph numbers but the br-4's reduced my groups by 30% so thats what Im using. Still have great velocity using 38.0 grs varget 20 inch barrel 2800 fps 130 bergers.
