Anyone familiar with the guns? I had the chance to shot one the other day and it was really nice. It was set up as a open pistol from the factory. I had never seen or heard of these guns before, but I may have to buy one.

If you go to the CZ forums they are big fans of them. As well as the eaa and canik 55. I own one and like it. I'm a polymer striker guy so I don't like them as much as my xd 's. But great guns

One of my friends had one for a while (his was the Combat Sport model). It was easily as good as the Cz85 I had at the time. I've looked at the Stock Custom model at my local dealer, it's a very nice pistol indeed!

The Desert Eagle Baby looks very similar to the maker. They IWI used their design and worked with that company to produce there 9mm,40,45 pistols. I really like the baby eagles.

Most of them are a cz-75 base design. Very nice guns for the price. If it fits your grip and style of shooting it's a gun that will service you well and not break the
Bank

I shot a Tanfoglio Witness in 10mm for the first time on Sunday. One thing I can say for it is the recoil was substantially better than the comparably sized Kimber in 10mm I also shot on Sunday.

I have the ported .40 Witness which is my favorite carry gun. I had a .45 Witness but sold it. The EAA's are a very affordable well shooting and handleing handgun.

I owned a .40 witness years ago, I did a trigger job on it and eventually sold it to a friend of mine to fund a limited STI build. He still has it and swears its the most accurate handgun he owns. It shot very well and handled and felt nice. No complaints here.

Wife has an older TZ full size 9mm. All steel.
Its slide release is extended and dropped lower than most so its easier for her to use.
We got it prior to EEA distribution and the name change to Witness.
Many years of trouble free service.
It's her Truck Gun...

I owned a TZ75 about 25yrs ago (before the EAA Witness changeover) and it was a nice shooting little pistol. I had the 4" model, which was handy, and carried it cocked and locked. I even used it to shoot some IPSC and plate matches when I was in High School. I did observe that it did NOT like the cheap Blaser aluminum-cased ammo, but fed pretty much everything else fine.

All of these pistols: the TZ, CZ, EAA, and even the Springfield P9 were all essentially "copies" of the Hi Power frame, which is a VERY ergonomically pleasing grip frame to a lot of shooters. The XDs feel better than Glocks to many shooters because some of the same grip ergonomics were worked into it.
